| Logan Tomkins is expected to return to Wigan and rumours still persist that Tommy Lee will also be leaving to join either Huddersfield or Saints. We also have young Gareth Owen out on loan to Sheffield at the moment too.
We’ve been linked with Shaun Lunt over the past couple of months, although I understand he’s still under contract (which shouldn’t be an issue with the Sneyd transfer money no doubt burning a hole in Marwan’s pocket).

| Tomkins is 100% going to back to Wigan i seen Shaun Wane at the races and asked him about Tomkins. I think we should keep hold of Lee as in recent weeks he's been playing really well. Maybe have Lee & Fages as our hookers next year if we've spent up on the cap!

And the Myler money, which we now know has been put to one side.

| I will be the first to hold my hand up with regards to Tommy Lee. Under Harris he has been very good. Works his socks off. Very consistent at the moment. I'd like us to hold onto him as an interchange Hooker. If we're not in the market to buy a hooker I'd like to see Theo used as an interchange hooker. He's another one who's gone up a gear under Harris. It would give you the hard worker with Lee and the speed and flair of Fages to be swapped at crucial times in each game suited to their abilities. I suppose it all depends on what Harris wants from a Hooker.
Unless we can squeeze in a big name hooker i have a feeling he may go with what he's got next season as they're capable of doing the goods.

| Hooker is still a specialist position IMO and we desperately need an out and out hooker to take us to the next level. Lee works very hard and could do a job for us as an interchange, but we need a quick dynamic hooker who will get us going forward on the back of the forwards hard graft. I see Lee as more of a 13 – he has the build and gets through some solid graft and there’s always room for players like that in any team, but yet again there were times yesterday when a better hooker would have scooted and got us going forward, instead Lee just took a couple of steps and distributed the ball. If you look at every club (baring London and possibly Widnes) they are all far quicker around the ruck. For me this is still our weak spot.
Theo again could do a job there, like Rob Burrow does for Leeds or Luke Robinson does for Huddersfield, but do we really want him defending in the middle channel and using up so much energy? This would make him less effective going forward in my opinion. I like Theo he’s quick, elusive, his support play is superb and he picks off loose balls all the time, but I’m still not convinced of converting him into a hooker just yet.
Shaun Lunt would fit the bill perfectly, with Lee/Owen as interchange.

| Josh Hodgson made 14 runs from dummy half yesterday in comparison to Tommy Lee who made 4. That's what were missing.

| No issues with Tommy Lee, is working hard within the team framework.
how ever as previous posters have alluded to : he's not a specialist hooker , Roby - Clarke- Houghton - Lunt - Hodgson -Higham etc all give their clubs precious momentum .
We are coping but I'd be surprised if Harris wasn't still looking for a proven - experienced signing.

| You're after a Super League based Hooker that hasn't been mentioned on this thread yet, He's also under contract next season for his current team.

It's not going to be Diskin or Cas Clarke. Or Pelissier. Lunt and Houghton have been mentioned in the thread. As has Hodgson. Can't see it being Aiton and hopefully not Moore. It wont be Roby or McIlorum.
Which leaves McShane, Higham, and Clarke.
Anyone else want a guess?

No point in signing players no better than we already have. McShane is over rated and something wrong his attitude.

By Clarke do you mean Jon Clarke? I think he's announced his retirement, and that is no longer a euphemism for joining Salford.
Josh Hodgson would be a good call. There's also Logan Tomkins of course.
