| Offered position of Director of football according to Koukash on twitter.
Looks like Harris for head coach.
Thoughts?

| Massively underwhelmed if true.
Not got the required pedigree, experience or nouse.
Failed at Crusaders & coached the worst team in the world cup on home soil.
First mistake by the Doc without a shadow of a doubt.

| Well, I'll reserve judgement at the moment. Surely, with people like Noble and in a few weeks, Flannigan to support him, he might do a better job. To be fair, the teams he's worked with as head coach have been pretty poor too, in relation to the opposition faced.
We'll see.

| Not sure about this one, it appears looking from the outside that Noble would have played a part in bringing Harris in, but reading Doc's comments on Twitter am not sure Noble is sticking around.
If left with Harris alone as head coach I don't think this is a forward step and it will surely unsettle an already up & down season even more.

| Very poor decision, you need stability and a more longer term view is required.

| Terrible appointment if true. There are much better assistant coaches in the NRL than Harris. I could understand this if it was a club struggling financially but not the Red Devils. Wales were shocking at the World Cup, yes they didn't have great players but there was a distinct lack of structure.

| Madness - sheer and utter madness.
Noble is one of the best coaches in the business.
Cashcow doesn't like a few drubbings and he throws not just the baby and bathwater out but also the f***ing bath.
I simply don't believe it - and as a Wire fan - feel really sorry for the Salford fans.
Cashcow has come in and spent a lot of money and expects success - no problem with that - but instant success? and in less than half a season?
Get real - unfortunately he's just underlined the fact that he doesn't understand rugby league.
Harris is not the saviour.
He'll develop into a good coach in time, but Noble has a lot more to offer at the moment.
Which top class coach would want to be judged after a handful of games?
Unbeliveable.

| Noble isn't one of the best coaches around, he is in a time warp and hasn't moved on. Have been underwhelmed by his tactics in too many games. Often you can see the improvements and the direction the coach is trying to take the team in, Not with Noble though.
Not exactly thrilled with this appointment. Could be interesting to see what he has learnt under Wane

| Glad B Noble has bn sacked, never liked the way he talks about the sport. Harris far better option, Noble sounds like a dinosaur to me, no surprise the team has improved since S Long signed. Crusaders put on some gud performances under Harris, and W Bennett wouldn't have dn any better with that Welsh squad in the WC.
There are only 2 assistant coaches in the NRL who I'd have instead of Harris, one is R Stone and the other M Parish; and as you know one has already been. And no way would Rick Stone come here, he's almost certain to take over from W Bennett. Steve Georgallis is the only other guy I'd consider. And just to add, I don't like the way J Kear talks about the game either, think he does more harm than good being involved in the media especially.

| Seems a crazy decision to make at this stage of the season. Noble only has months left to run on his contract and it was obvious to all Salford fans he wouldn't be offered an extension. As has been said countless times, his tactics are dated and we haven't looked good for longer than 40 minutes so far this season.
That said, we should have left things alone until the end of the year unless this has been instigated by Noble. Everyone is assuming Koukash has wielded his axe, but Noble might have felt he hasn't got it in him anymore.
Underwhelming choice of head coach though if Harris is given it permanently on a two year deal BUT he's young and British which is what a lot of fans have been asking for.

| Never has the phrase "Rome wasn't built in a day" been more apt. Looks like the good Doctor thinks this is horse racing...Buy better horses...if they don't win buy better trainers....if they still don't win make them into glue?

Difference is Koukash wasn't on that job.

| I think some mistake were made in the signings; but maybe some players didn't want to come here because B Noble was head coach. And maybe M Koukash has got wind of that. I don't think that's the case, but this team should be preforming better than they have dn over recent weeks.
