| So how's that going to work then?
We seem to have a very flexible quota, and what was the point in buying Tim Smith?
Unless all this is for 2015.
I'm confused...

| I don't think you need a player like Sandow, talented yes but better than Smith? and I can't see either of them wanting to be bench warmers. No keep Theo as the back up and use the money that Sandow would cost to strengthen the front row where I'm still not convinced we have enough fire power to be a force.

Perhaps the props Nobby really wants aren't available until 2015?

| That is the same sort of line I've been told about, but swapping Sydney for Salford when your still in demand is doubtful.

Just seems incredibly unlikely due to having an embarrassment of riches in the halves already. The non-fed stuff makes it almost impossible, and having a racehorse owner as your boss after suffering with gambling problems is probably not the best move.

It has been mentioned on an Aussie fans forum that depending on whether it is tables or machine betting it may be a frying pan into the fire situation.
However, the healing process has been started rlLinkrl and I would think this country is better equipped after the experience with premiership soccer players.
As Sandow has played at a club at the same time as Shannon Mcpherson, and is currently at the one from where Jake Mullaney has been signed, any friendship between those 2 and him may be helpful in persuading him to come here.
I have to state how impressed I am with the willingness of the club to sign players who have may have erred from the straight and narrow.Certainly a lot of differing characters,as well as skills and abilities,to be moulded in time for February.

| Personally I would not be looking at Sandow. In the halves you need a person who will lead the team round the pitch. This requires someone who has a good passing and kicking game and who calls the plays and instructs players where they need to be. Sandow has never demonstrated a capability in doing this at either Souths or Parramatta.
At Souths he had some good players round him which made him look better than he was. You look at the best teams in the NRL and they all have someone who can take the team round the pitch with someone who complements that skill set as the other half back.
We have Tim Smith who'll do that for Salford allowing Chase to concentrate on providing the game breaking plays.
Personally I'd be looking elsewhere to strengthen. We could do with some more leadership in the forwards but I can only think of Aussies and Kiwis unless somehow we could get James Graham. Now that really would be a coup.

I'm led to believe this is the case too. Makes a bit of sense of the Morley signing if true.

One or two of the Burgess boys wouldn't go amiss either.

Going to need the NRL salary cap to go with it at this rate.
