Lets hope he has a no nonsense worth ethos. If the players are worried about losing their jobs, if Mr Matthews sets the standards, I'm sure the office staff will be more worried about their careers. Too many impotent people have been working in the offices at the club for a long time, this desperately needs to change. Some could argue it's more vital having the background staff excelling rather than the playing staff.

A Senior Business Development Manager? I don't know much about the structure of the Co-Op but this has me a little underwhelmed if I'm being honest. Hardly the executive board level candidate that I would've hoped for.
I'm just hoping Senior Business Development Manager in the Co-Op is more along the lines of a Commercial Director level in real terms.

Blinkington flip, you're hard to please. He's worked at board or board - 1 level at some pretty major high street names. That's not a bad appointment for the club, surely. |

You're right. Just seen he was the Director of New Business with the Bank of Scotland for 4 years plus prior to the Co-Op. Solid.

a hopeless development of its business in 2006 when it took over Britannia.....and another hopeless non development of its business in the last few months with the Lloyd mess...... Now it just has to find 1.5 billion to fill a black hole and it'll be fine.....
either he had nothing to do with it with him not being in a high profile position within the coop...or he did and he was.......... you decide...
anyway I bet the Coop are pleased Marwan has them down as Blue Chip company...he's probably the only one who has. |
