| Does anyone else find the North Stand and its emptyness a bit soul destroyer?
Any ideas on this issue and generally improving the atmosphere of the ground?
It would to be able to change ends at half time.

| Think something the club seriously need to do now before next seasons tickets go on sale is to get feed back from fans on making the East stand the home stand. We all agree we miss the shed and the atmosphere it created, I more than anything miss the view (nothing to do with being half blind and not seeing the other end of the field).
Think some form of referendum to see if fans would switch from the South stand to the east might be a good start to generating a better atmosphere.
Might be a good idea to get a decent sized corporate sponsor for that stand and basically target it at schools and try to get it filled with kids and parents each game. The Doc has said he knows of business people looking to RL to invest so possibly there is someone he already knows of who might like to get involved in this, the press that something like this would generate would be very supportive you'd guess.
Have away fans where we currently stand and the people who want the high vantage point can stay where they are in the West stand.
I think the Docs advisors read some of the comments on here so maybe they will listen if enough say that the East stand is the way forward for us all and that hopefully that more central vantage point will create a better atmosphere.

| i for one go in the east stand just for the view but do miss the atmosphere of the shed if they made the east stand just for home fans i expect there to be more singing than there is now.
also if any new fans come to the ground and see everyone singing in the east stand ( new shed ) i feel that makes them think this is awesome i will come again. my first experience was in the shed and i also thought the same that the feel of the fans singing the passion really rubs off on people and hooks you into are club

| Think we need to get away from the idea that the shed was a cauldron of noise every week. Doesn't matter which stand is the vocal section with our current crowds. Either stand would create a decent atmosphere with good numbers in. 500 spread along the touchline rather than behind the posts wouldn't make much difference to be honest.
Would rather see prices lowered in the south stand to get some fans back, and make the east some sort of family section with school groups etc invited.

| last few season at the willows the shed did lose it spark but before that it was always good even when we where getting battered we would just sing more.
a lot of fans have moved round the stadium to get a better view, the south stand is to low to ever be a decent home stand only perk is that the south stand is standing

| It's been brought up numerous times before, but take the seats out of the East Stand (and maybe put them in the North Stand instead) and I'll switch sides from the West Stand. Most of the South Stand would go there and a lot of the people in the West who used to go in the Shed would most likely join them and we'd create a bit more noise.

| Ideally we would all go in the east stand but people want to stand so its as u were unfortunately plans to rip out seats are a non runner unfortunately
May surprise some that now the majority of salford fans sit at the match now it will take a few years to get the balance right

| The seats in the east are here to stay, no point suggesting removal as the design is wrong. We need to find a way to make it home. Need places for the banners to hang

| A good place for the banners would surely be in the fans bar, might be a good way to get a bit of atmosphere going in there and hopefully carry it through to the ground itself.

I agree. Get a bit of colour in the place.

As I said elsewhere pretty certain the powers that be at the club keep a check on here so they must know that fans in general find the stadium inside a bit drab and soulless, surely now there is someone at the helm with an eye to getting things just so that there is some form of sprucing up inside the ground.
There was a report that hasn't really been picked up on here on here the other day that the council has taken out a loan to bail the SMC out so you'd like to think that the Doc must have the whip hand when it comes to getting the stake in the stadium that he mentioned at the very beginning, I'd personally hope that someone in the new regime puts concerted pressure on the powers that be at the stadium to try and make it more Salford friendly with a little investment on the decor.
