Marwan Kaukash today completed the take over of the city councils share of the stadium, he took over the running of the club last wednesday, there will be a press conference called later today or early tomorrow. From a very reliable source.

Sorry for any scepticism, it's due to the amount of false dawns we've seen over the last twenty years. However, assuming you are correct and Koukash did take over running the club last week, would that mean the recruitment 'officially' began last Wednesday. I did think Phil Vievers looked far too relaxed and happy in his interview on red planet yesterday.

I just wish they'd tell the fans, as the anticipation is killing me.

Wire fan here, really hope this is true and sorted, always enjoyed visits to the willows back to the days of Tex Evans blonde locks flashing down the wing (that's how i remember it anyway).

If he has been running the club since Weds and the deal has gone through I'm pretty sure they would have put Wigan tickets and season tickets on sale by now.

Well if you look back to last week the club put the 5 year tickets on sale that was Thursday the day after Kaukash took over the club. Why would they do that they day after the day I said? It's not sheer coincidence.

Either that or they're able to process them as they've already been paid for and it gets it out of the way for when normal STs and matchday tickets go on sale.

Either way, let's hope there's an announcement shortly as I'm fed up of the constant "it's going to be on such a date".

Red League I hope you are correct however we have put nothing on sale yet. We have just issued the 3 and 5 year tickets that had already been paid for.

As a 5 year season ticket holder I don't believe a word of this and won't until the press conference occurs. This info is def not confirmed by Peel or the club. With the club signing a loan player for only one month it contradicts this statement. Lets hope this is actually happening.

Maybe we have only signed him for a month because it will take roughly that length of time to get a permenant Full Back from overseas with a visa etc, just a thought.
