| Obviously wasn't at your game tonight, being a Wigan fan, but well done on backing up after last week and beating Catalans. Hope you make the playoffs this year.

| This was despite having two players sin binned at the same time & being 20 nil down after 25 minutes.
Well done once again Salford you shown real character.
PS Ganson, please give up the game, as you cannot hide your dislike of Salford any more.

| Without getting carried away, silly or giddy this would be in my top ten Salford performanes in the last 35 years. 20 points down and with only 11 players for a spell against a team in third place says it all. I just hope that every Salford supporter however frustrated or disillusioned really enjoyed that performance tonight.
I say lets all share and enjoy this unbelievable result for once rather than bickering with each other.
The only thing that spoiled the night was Ganson's first half display. If I'd of had a gun I think I'd have blown Ganson's brains into the Manchester ship canal at half time. What I can't understand is I rate Ganson as the best ref in Superleague when he's not refereeing a Salford game. Is it me or does he dislike Salford? This said in the second half if I'm being honest I thought he missed one if not two forward passes for one of our second half tries.

| Tonight we most likely witnessed some of the best team spirit ever seen in Super league, 2 men down backs against the wall what do we do?
Play like world champions and use the smaller numbers to our advantage, tackle well above our weight and play for each over. So despite the poorest performance I have seen in at least 30 years from the man in the middle, the players threw the chains off that ganson had tied them in and played stunning stuff to beat a top three team. Now once a one celled animal come on here and tell us how crap the Catalans are and they are in a false position in the league like Huddersfield. Tonight I left the ground with some of the happiest people on earth who felt privileged to have been there tonight at the City of Salford Stadium, long may this continue, the South Stand (New Shed) rocked tonight.

I have never seen a game like that in my entire life. 20 points down, 2 men down and we come back to take the lead and then despite being caned on the penalty count, making a number of crazy mistakes and having on about 20% possession in the first half we find enough in the tanked to hang on for the win
Fair play to catalans for playing some even crazier rugby and to both teams for such an open, fast, attacking game
Without doubt one of my favourite ever games.
The team showed such fantastic team spirit and the fans were awesome

| Just read Trent Robinsons match comments on the BBC sport website. What a self ed loser . . . I really hope the little tos*pot wins nowt after reading his comments tonight. Every other superleague coach 'aussie or brit' is very dignified in defeat but this guy obviously thinks he's a cut above everyone else in Superleague!
In my opinion the Catalan coaches comments have disgraced himself and his club and will have embarrassed his players.

For 30 mins it was another Salford nightmare! What happened from there on in was sublime and ridiculous, if only the rest of rugby league could have witnessed it!

| Maybe old age, maybe beer or maybe sentiment but I can't remember a better backs to the wall performance than last night.
We as a sport don't do ourselves and favours at all, Ganson is sailing very close to bringing the game into disrepute, the forward pass he missed in the Hull derby last week was nothing short of corrupt and last night I was bewildered at some of his decisions. I know the RFL need senior refs but they need senior refs who seem to be unbiased, who don't let the crowds chants or dislike of them cloud thier judgement and have the required fitness level to keep up with a fast paced game. All that said I do think he won us the game last night as I doubt we'd have rallied like we did if he hadn't binned both the players (what were they binned for exactly?) and when they did come back on they both set about getting stuck in to help the cause better than they have been doing this season.
The positives last night were endless, everyone like me must have feared that at 20 nil down we were dead and thought that a cricket score awaited. The spirit and rugby nouse we showed in the period either side of half time we were at a numerical disadvantage was outstanding (sorry but Patten's detractors need to eat some humble pie and fully appreciate his efforts this season and in particular last night when he guided the whole team through the game), to have the skill and guts to give the ball some air when most teams would have just carted it up the middle for 5 and kicked long showed real skill. The forwards stood up to a big pack, Feka got the bit between his teeth, McPherson looked genuinely class last night and you can see the beliefe in Sidlow growing game by game. The backs are as dangerous as I've seen in decades at Salford, Moon just plain has it, Gleeson on the front foot has a fine offload and Broughton last night showed why we need to get him involved more as his pace last night was breathtaking. - then you get to Patten as I say elsewhere he was the main man during the sin binnings and just before the final whistle he went on a mazey run not actually trying to make any ground but eat up the clock (puposely running backwards to eek it out more) which again showed his superb rugby brain.
The atmosphere at the ground last night for a game with only one set of fans in attendance (OK there was the odd Cats shirt and oddly some 6 fingered interlopers from down the A57) was getting close to shed like, the new mascot seems to be a brilliant addition as the kids were queuing up to have pictures taken and then during the game the gooning around with hi fives was what a mascot should be doing, christ they even had an extra mini bar on the help us get oiled a bit easier.

| Good post MR.
Re Patten. I was with a guy last night who knows Pattens sponsor very well. Somehow we have to try & get the sponsor to speak to Luke to give it another year.
Like Duneman he has class and is very eloquent & he must be enjoying his Rugby. The Magic Weekend must have helped so lets hope talks can commence.

| Michigan Red:
Great post sums up how 99% of Salford reds fans will be feeling this morning.
Well done again to the coaching staff who are obviously getting the best out of this group of players.
Guts, determination, skill & above all character! WELL DONE
Finally I would not argue with man of the match but Patten for me was outstanding!

Just on that note... When is Holdsworth contract up??? If Patten does pack in , maybe it would influence Holdsworths decision to stay with us or move on ....

Atmosphere was really good yesterday. I think two of the best games for noise have been when theres been no away fans in attendance, Catalans and London, which is unusual! They have been two of our better performances though.
Two huge home games to come and we really need to be competitive. Hopefully close games against Saints and Warrington will see the recent feel good factor remain.
Like the mascot too. Do we have game day mascots anymore? If not maybe something we could offer as part of the new Junior Reds.
