| It is true tho. RL is fantastic value compared to football and remember that the £ 45 you pay goes straight to paying for the debts of greedy Americans who show no interest in the game they are using to bleed the british working man dry.
Also remember that if the club reduce the prices they risk incurring the wrath of the whiners on here who complain about their season ticket being devalued.
Perhaps we should use the price of other forms of entertainment to show what value we really do represent.

| On the theme of trying to pack the stadium out guys i seem to think some people forget were only 4 games in and yes i totally agree salford should be doing something to drag more people down but at the end of the day whats going to encourage new fans ? and the answer to that is a winning team and i know why evry1 says we should be be packing the stadium out with free tickets but im saying give it two or three weeks and we will be getting a lot more fans coming down we have a couple of winnable games coming up and to be fir the way we are playing we are going to upset a few people this year. People need to realise the stadium is not a straight fix for our fans attendances it was and wont ever happen straight away. We need to have a good year this year and make playoffs and we will start to see the hard work pay off next season and towards the end of this season. I remember 2006 we had the loyal 3000 fans for 3/4 of the season then when people realised we were pushing play offs we ended up with attendances pushing 7000-8000 for the last quarter of the season. I totally agree and understand where people are coming from but this was never a quick fix problem. All i say is keep your faith in our players and the club and watch our club grow as a whole. Guys no need to panic yet we have time. COME ON YOU REDS, SALFORD TILL I DIE !

| We didn't get 7,000 - 8,000 crowds at the end of the 2006 season
we got 6,000 for the last home game against Cas, prior to that we got 4K against Bradford , 4K against Hull, 3K against Quins and only 5K against Wire in a classic game we won 35-34 goes to show ..
In fact we got better attendances the following season 2007 , the season we were relegated , including an 8K crowd for the opening game at the Willows ,,, on a Sunday ,,,3PM K/O ,
just shows Alzheimers has a home and it's called the Willows

Amanda's as diplomatic as Syria ,
in reality away from the stockbroker supported clubs , teams like Wigan , Bolton , Blackburn & even Everton are slashing ticket prices to win back supporters,
the ticket marketing strategy should have been pretty simple ,
- Yorkshire based teams - Hull - Hull Kr - Cas - Wakey - Bradford & Leeds = Sunday Kickoffs to maximise away support
Saints - Warrington - Wigan - Widnes= Derbies, A rated games , buy a ticket to one of these games and get a spare ticket for one of Catalans , Broncos or Huddersfield , tons of marketing & press to build awareness of games ( not just a week before the bl**dy fixture ).
- Catalans - Broncos - Huddersfield - normally our lowest attendances = kids go free to bulk up attendances
East Stand to a big company - Salford Council - Trafford NHS Trust - Schools , like Wigan do for Heinz when their North Stand is empty.

| Red13pjb - I'm pretty sure the cheapest tickets at Utd these days is £28 so not massively different considering the comparative size/success of the 2 clubs. Saying that RL is still, in general, better value IMO (& I'm a big Utd fan). As for the comment in the club shop it doesn't surprise me. With all due respect they need someone running the show that actually gives 2 s about customer service & I get the impression that at Salford it's more a case of "if you're a relative of 'x' at the club then you get the job!

| Doubt you'll see the day we play changed to Sundays this season as surely the club have punted all the boxes and corporate meals to businsses based on Friday games.
I can see an argument for both nights to be fair and at this time of year either day suits me personally but come the hight of summer often have other things going on on on Sunday afternoons.
Also has anyone considered we might not be allowed to play on Sunday afternoons?, if you look at the state of the traffic on the M60 between say 12:00 and 15:00 it's already at a virtual standstill with people trying to get into the Trafford Centre. Surely however many more people trying to get off at another junction is just going to make the tailbacks significantly worse.

| Look my United ticket works out at £28 a game, United do not reduce ticket prices for matches. At City they have season ticket holders and I think it is about £25 a game cheapest, but for a number of games they have reduced prices down to £20 to get fans in against teams like Fulham.
Bolton and Wigan are doing 2 matches for £25 total in March to get people in, we are not United or City but we are like Bolton and Wigan and we must look to some of the tac-tics they are using in these austire times to try and get people in.

| Using modern football prices as a comparison for what's affordable and what isn't is a bit daft, to be honest.
£20 is too much. I know a few people who won't pay it. Say what you like, but it's an issue that really should be looked at.

Why - clearly people WILL pay that

I'd hazard a guess that it's uppermost in the FD's mind at all RL clubs and I suspect they haven't got much room for manoeuvre judging by the similarity at all the SL clubs - as a comparison (which of course might be totally irrelevant) Manchester Phoenix Ice-hockey tickets are £14 on the day
