| Following on from recently disappointing home attendances at Salford City FC's last two league fixtures the committee have decided to try a one-off experiment in an attempt to generate more interest by bringing forward the next home game by 24 hours against league leaders Curzon Ashton. The match will now take place this Friday 14th October at Moor Lane (M7 3PZ) with a 7:45 pm kick-off.
Admission is 7.00 for adults with 3.00 for concessions. Any extra support on the night would be very much appreciated.

| We had 74 against Ossett Town and just 63 against Cammell Laird. Admittedly neither team has any away support to speak off but even so I just can't understand the seeming lack of interest in Salford's premier non-league outfit. We try to play football the right way and everyone is always made very welcome at Moor Lane. I know it doesn't help having United and City on our doorstep as well as Sky and ESPN showing football virtually every night but we really do deserve to enjoy much better support than what we currently get. We also might be small in number but we always manage to create a decent atmosphere and our wit is second to none in the league!

| Got to admit due to financial reasons I've only made one game this season and that was the opener v Warrington, gutted really thems the breaks.
If I scrape a few quid together I'll try and get my butt down there.

You would be made very welcome. We've got a decent refreshment hut selling hot food and drinks on site as well as a welcoming clubhouse which has Holts, Guiness and Fosters on draught as well as a variety of other bottled drinks.
You might be interested to know that we've just signed 19 year old keeper Josh Welsby from Wigan Athletic who began his career in Macc Town's Youth Team in season 2008-09.
ps - Last time I saw Macc was at Hyde United in 1987 when they won 3-1 in
front of 1,800 fans (mostly Macc) to clinch the NPL (Multipart) League title
and promotion to the Conference. Had a mate a work who was a big
'Silkmen' fan.

| Think I will hve a bit of this. Only been to one game this season. 2-2 vs Ossett Town.
An excuse to start off the weekend a day early before the Liverpool vs Utd/FCUM vs Chester double header on Saturday.

Not the best game you could have chosen KOTS! We've certainly improved since then. You may be interested to know that we secured a great 2-1 extra-time FA Trophy replay away victory at Clitheroe yesterday night despite being reduced to 10 men on the hour mark with player manager Rhodri Giggs netting the winner.

The Warrington match was worth attending for confirmation Warrington football fans are cut from the same mongy cloth as their RL fans. Plus the after match boot off in the car park was amusing as well.

| I see we lost to a last minute goal sadly but on a brighter note 160 turned up City's biggest crowd of the season.

After dominationg for long periods and twice having taken the lead, two goalkeeping howlers from our new keeper and a deflected last minute goal spoiled an otherwise successful night off the pitch.

Have to agree that Salford were worthy of at least a point.
