| FEKA??
Thought from the commentary he was meant to have a blinder up in Hull last week.

| Feka did have a good game last week, made some excellent runs. Only downside is he didn't seem to be on that long.
Well Ratchford, Gleeson and Gibson were all missing last week so depending on who is fit:
1. Patten
2. Broughton
3. Gleeson/Gibson/Nero
4. Henry
5. Williams
6. Ratchford
7. Sneyd
8. Cashmere
9. Godwin
10. Boyle
11. Adamson
12. Neal
13. Wild
14. Smith
15. Jewitt
16. Feka
17. Anderson/Nero

| Corrected it now
Adamson off for Feka, but hard to pick with nearly a full team except for Ratford, Gleeson will be back for the Rhinos game.

| I'd drop Anderson rather than Adamson and have Boyle starting with Neal on the bench

| Really I thought that Luke Adamson had one of his worst games this season - he's a young player, bags of talent, I just wonder with all the crap that's being going on at Salford this season whether a spell out of the limelight and the pressure might not actually do him a deal of good?

Not one of his best game's perhaps however he still earns a place in the team above Anderson any day of the week. Players like Vinnie have experience - granted, they pop in the right place at the right time and tend to scratch try's out of no were perhaps even when the games a lost cause - however the less glorious task of tackling and hard graft tends to go unnoticed by the average speccy - I missed the game on Sunday and bar Catalans I don't think theres been another I've missed. So upon watching BBC's failing attempt at rugby league highlights (at 11:00 pm none the less) the first thing I noticed was Hull KR's 1st half last minute try. Which happened to be a missed tackle by no other than Neale - Adamson's so called replacement for that game.....
Adamson currently sits 6th on the tackle leader board on the Engage SL with 670 tackles - the highest of any Salford player - to be fair, closely followed by Matty Smith in 13th on 592 tackles (another who seems committed and more than disappointed when we leak points!)
I would obviously prefer Adamson to sit 6th on the try table however considering we have made the least meters in Super League this year (bar Wakefield!!) it goes without saying that Salford spend more time defending than attacking - and with Adamson doing his best in what is realistically a failing team that spends more time defending than attacking, I feel his work rate goes unnoticed.
So yeah sit him on the bench for a few weeks, give the poor lad a break, let the likes of DJ - Anderson & Gleason make 50+ tackles a game and put in the hard graft he does. After all it isn't Adamson kicking out on the full - or spilling the ball in the tackle every time someone puts a hit on (cough Vinnie)...
I shall throughly enjoy watching his replacement work tirelessly protecting those around him and giving 100%...
or will I?

| Sorry but as a forward isn't it Adamsons job to do the tackling?
Not having a pop as I think Adamson is still a brilliant player, though I do think he has lost his way slightly over the past couple or three seasons.
Think that Neal also is as good a prospect and offers more in attack than Adamson.
I would dearly love to see us somehow bin Anderson as he is a massive waste of the salary cap, I would put money on the fact that if Parish would have had the option of buying him now he'd not touch him, think we clearly bought him based on name and reputation alone.
As for the Leeds game I think this will be a classic, it will be the best atmosphere of the season barring the final game (and for me should have been the final game) and I really do think that Parish will with two weeks to work on them will have a different game plan and change the team somewhat.

Lyrad Red - I think you have put it rather better than I did, but the sentiment is the same - a young lad - too much pressure in a failing side, let's see how good our new coach is

| Adamson is just the kind of player that made it essential we brought in a decent Coach. In terms of raw talent, he's head and shoulders above any other forward at the Club. I'm hoping that MP can help him achieve his true potential. I would also put Sidlow in this bracket. Potentially, I feel he is the type of player that could achieve great things, but he too seems to have 'lost his way'.
As far as Anderson and Feka are concerned, they have been quality players......Over to you M.P. (No pressure!!!!)

Couldn't have said it better myself. Shaun McRae did not improve on nor nurture Adamson's talent as with Sidlow - Jewit - Ratchford. Anything Adamson has improved on has been thru his own doing. With that said I'm sure his confidence has took a bash and I'm surprised he's managed to maintain such a work rate. His pure enthusiasm and hard work is a credit to the lad.
Anyway bring on Leeds.
