I know the new coach still hasn't arrived and recruitment has been put on the back burner but has anyone heard any rumours about potential new signings for next season yet? Most other forums seem to have lots of comings/goings rumours. The big clubs are already announcing new players so hopefully we may soon. I'm sure Mr Parrish has ideas already on recruitment. Exciting times I reckon!!

It says on the Bradford forum that we have signed Chev Walker on a 2 year deal and he's been house hunting in the area.

Exciting times indeed. Don't fancy Chev Walker in a Reds shirt though. I think the core of our squad is pretty good, especially if we keep hold of Ratchford. A new quality forward would be nice, especially if Cashmere's going at the end of the season. Much of our problem was with coaching though, and hopefully Parrish will be a solution.

Cashmere's going?? that would be a disaster if true as head and shoulders he's our best forward by some distance and without very deep pockets we'll struggle to find anyone with his caliber and impact. Where have you heard this??

Think we'll be looking for a big barm storming centre, an inter change hooker and another prop (maybe two if what you say above is correct).

Morley anyone? Good chance Wire will win the GF this year which might tempt Mozza into a swansong at his hometown club. Still up there with the best props in the world even at 33/34.

Should have brought him in 3 years ago, IF finances would have allowed, (which seems unlikely). Quite a few Salford fans thought he was past his best and that he was just coming home to boost his pension. He has been outstanding at Wire, but perhaps now would be a bit of a gamble. One things for sure, Morley's signature would almost certainly have seen the crowd numbers rise instead of fall. As for next season, I sort of agree with Michigan Red, we appear to desperately need a big, smart, powerhouse centre, possibly another quality hooker, and another speedy winger if poss. I don't think that the pot of cash available will be limitless, but as I've stated on an earlier thread, I see next season as one of massive importance.
