| MARTIN GLEESON LEAVES WIGAN WARRIORS
Former Great Britain centre Martin Gleeson has negotiated a release from Super League champions Wigan.
[iThe 30-year-old former Huddersfield, St Helens and Warrington player has not played for Wigan since the World Club Challenge just over a month ago amid rumours that the club had attempted to sever his contract.
The Warriors were tight-lipped over the matter but confirmed that Gleeson had left the club, citing various reasons for his exit with more than 18 months left of his contract to run.
The controversial Gleeson, who earlier this year made a complaint to police about an alleged blackmail which he later withdrew, is thought to have been ordered home after turning up at the club in an unfit state to train on the eve of the game against Salford on March 4.

We should at least speak to him to ascertain whether he's determined to put his career on track and get down to to some hard work with a new club. If we got the right answers, I think we should offer him a contract to the end of the season with a further option after this.
If other clubs are prepared to offer either significantly more money or length of contract, I would let him go.
The main point remains, that he is a world class player and on his day he COULD definately add some much needed firepower to our Team.
