LEE MOSSOP may come to Salford City Reds on loan
from Wigan Warriors ?

PLAYER PROFILE.

[iA shoulder injury cut Lee's season short which forced him to sit out the end of the 2010 campaign. Lee made 18 appearances grabbing one try in the season opener against Crusaders.

In March Lee put pen to paper on a new five year contract which will keep him at the Club until November 2014, a testament to how highly Lee is rated in the game.

He is a young second row forward with bags of enthusiasm and is certain to have a great future ahead in the game. Lee made his Warriors first team debut in 2008 in the Challenge Cup against French side SM Pia XIII.

In 2009 Lee spent time on loan at both Barrow and Huddersfield to gain some first team match experience.

He is a product of the Hensingham ARLFC in West Cumbria near Whitehaven. Lee has represented England at Academy level.

I'd snap him up, will add something extra to our forwards.

Great news if this happens. Think he will give us some zest in the forwards and hopefully his enthusiasm will rub off onto others ( and give more time for our new , crocked 2nd rowers to get fit!!).

That would be an awesome loan signing. When ever I've seen Wigan play he's always been in the thick of it and a noticeable player. Fingers crossed that we pull this off. Goulding was a great loan signing so could he be.

Quote from a good friend of mine (even though he's a Wigan fan!)

"I'd be amazed if the Mossop story was true - he's an integral part of the squad, particularly as he has played as emergency prop as well as second row."

First accept sadness. Realise that without losing 70% of the time, winning wouldn't be such a relief.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_32990.jpg

I hope this is true.

I guess it's a move that could help the player gain more SL experience. Wigan may look at it and think Goulding did very well after returning from a loan spell at Salford and it could do the same for Mossop's development.

Now Wigan have Lima back and with Fielden due to return it does give them a lot of options in the forwards. Forgetting Mossop they will still have to leave two very good forwards out of their team. It could be one of those loan deals where they could recall him if they suffered injuries.

... Gareth Hock

Wigans First Choice 2nd Rowers
Hoffman & Hansen

they also have :-Liam Farrell, Tomkins J, Tuson & Mossop, + they have Gareth Hock to come back so Mossop could drop to 7th choice ..

So he's very likely to be wanting 1st team action away from DW

I'd be really happy if this is true, he's a really good young player, and would be a great help with us not having Anderson & Bailey fit to play in the second row but I doubt it mind.

However;

June I believe, so they could need room on the salary cap I suppose to make room for Hock (who, despite his problems is a fantastic player!)

Would they not have factored Hocks return within their cap limits already? You'd have thought that they would do.
