| Most of you have 6 players in the 17 who didnt figure in last years matches with CC & with particular strengthening in the three quarters I am hopeful of a good win on Saturday evening. Hopefully Adamson and Swain will close down Van Dijk though. He remains a threat.

That's the team Id expcet to see, with maybe Jewitt replacing Sibbit as both Talau and Alker could cover the second row. I think it's a certainty that Alker will go to second row when Paul comes on, just hope McRae tells him (Alker) not to start playing as first receiver. Like the look of the team though, very balanced. Come on Saturday night!!!!!!

| Really hope I'm proved wrong but I have doubts about whether Turner is capable or ready to play Centre at this level? Would we not be better going for a tried and trusted centre like Stu Littler in what looks like a tight opener, as we know Stu's very experienced and reliable in defence.

| I think Shaun may have a few tough choices to make this week.
In the backs a lot will depend on White's fitness but the bench could be interesting.
Maybe only one of Turner/Littler/Ratchford/Paul will make the bench.
In the pack I think the second row is tough does he go with Parker/Sibbit or Parker/Adamson and again is there room on the bench for the one that misses out?
As for the props does he start with Cashmere/Stapleton or Stapleton/Jewitt? Personally I'd go with the latter and bring Cashmere and Leuluai on from the bench (can you imagine the delight on the oppositions faces seeing those two coming on after 20 minutes!) but I'm sure he'll go with Cashmere and Stapleton
Potentially 4 from 8 (Turner/Littler/Ratchford/Paul/Jewitt/Leuluai/Sibbit/Adamson) will be fighting for a place on the bench.

I think McRae will choose to start with Cashmere because he is capable of playing for longer at full throttle than your average modern day prop. (As proved with the amount of game time he got each match he played for North Queensland last season)
I like Jewitt he's tough and he's got potential but his biggest fault is giving away silly needless penalties.

If that is the correct line up (and I've no reason to doubt your source) then it's more or less as expected. I think having seen the pre-season games I'd have to agree with Littler starting, he's impressed me (Why that should be a shock I'm not sure anymore). However I do feel for both Turner and Ratch, but I'd be more than certain they'll be in there in the next few weeks it's just unfortunate that someone has to miss out but a great problem to have for any coach.

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try
we had 94urrrrrrrrrr:7891.jpg |
|
| If that is true can't believe Ratchford hasn't got a look in What does he have to do to get in??
