You could also take the view that the right coaching appointment could be the start of Salford eventually realising their potential. Chin up.

| Jeeez, really? We've just sacked a coach that a) didn't deserve the job in the first place and b) has us 11th in Super League despite having one of the best squads we've ever had to coach. It was evident what Harris was trying to achieve at Salford, unfortunately it didn't work out for him and instead of turning us into Michael McGuire's Wigan, he turned us into a team of ill-discipline.
We have the Australian national coach coming over to take over the reigns, it doesn't get much better. This could just be the start of everything we first anticipated when Koukash took over.
I don't envy Tim Sheens, he has got a tough job and is clearly up for the challenge. His first job will be to rid the camp of all negativity and get the players smiling again.

| I'm not convinced Sheens will want the coaching job. My expectation if he arrives is to have a big influence on our next coaching appointment.

| Either way, if he doesn't want the coaching position he is expected to take up a Director of Football role. Under the guidance and selection of Sheens, you have to fancy our chances of a decent head coach appointment in comparison to the two previous ones courtesy of the RL fountain of knowledge that is Marwan Koukash.

| If----- and I'm still not convinced he's coming, as the Doc said he was due over a week ago------Tim Sheens ever gets over here, then I will feel a lot better about the whole situation.

| I wouldn't be in the least surprised if Koukash and Sheens already know who the next Salford coach will be. You don't get shut of a head coach at this crucial stage of the year without a plan. It takes time to find the right man and we certainly haven't got the benefit of this before the vitally important middle 8's.

| No-one can blame us for not getting over excited by the arrival of Sheens - when did the club last do something right?
I'm serious here, and I really don't want to rake over old ground, but honestly, when did we do something that we could all look back on with some pride?
I am open to suggestions: player signed (that has achieved his potential), decent run of performances, coach, etc.
Everything we have done (dare I say since the best days of Rhino's tenure) have been disastrous. Even the half decent players we have signed (Holdsworth, Moon, Patten, Chase, Locke, Hock, etc) have let us down or under performed in one way or another. Throw in acrimonious departures, the expensive big 'push' in the final season at the Willows (including 'that' last ever game), court cases, the drain of young talent, the new ground fiasco, our coaching merry go round, attempts to promote the club which always seem to backfire (the family fun day for HullKR at home three years ago beset by driving rain, Warrington at home this year, Saints on Sky last season, jeez Castleford in the snow ), no club shop, etc, etc. My head is hurting...
On Sunday our club is flinging open it's doors to the world and his dog. And we don't have a coach in place to guide the players...

| Spot on. The most enjoyable era was In 2005 & 2006 with Rhino. Supporting Salford then gave you a buzz and you could feel the positivity around the place.
This is what I hoped for this year but it's been a disaster.

1st half of the 2005 season I'll give you, but 2006 we hardly won a game - let's not gild the lily here!

Just hope we don't get the same match day experience when we played the Catalans in the last match at the willows

I think you have got confused with 2007. We finished 5th place in 2006 and started the year with a 6-24 win at Warrington.
