| I realise i may very well be in the minority here but for me i would offer Stew a contract for next year. His performances of late for me have been very good and you always know what your getting with Littler- 100% commitment each and every game.
Yes i realise he is not the most gifted player we've ever seen but now were not giving Alker a new contract i worry that were losing people on the playing side that have a real affinity with Salford and actually care about the club. For me Littler puts in the effort every game and since his permanant move to the 2nd row i think he's doen an excellent job.
We can't afford to have a squad of superstars and Littler offers us versatility in the squad and i would imagine would not be one of the top earners in the team.
Littler is one of the those players who people find easy to disregard but i honestly think we'll miss him next year if he is let go.

| I cry a little bit on the inside whenever I hear the teams announced with Littler in the second row. He's good to have for depth but when he's still making the starting lineup week in week out, you can understand why we aren't moving forward as a club.

| With the injuries we've had it's been a godsend that we've had Stuart who seems to be incredibly robust and just able to keep playing - FWIW, in my opinion he's looked fine at second row and I'd certainly keep him as a squad player for one more season

| Littler is one of the old guard, he like Alker has given us years and years of commitment and effort to the cause in many ways been the heart and sole of the salford team, he was a try scoring centre who knew where the line was, but time moves on and we should be looking to the future if we we are to continue to compete at this level.
I would thank him for his efforts over the last 10 years in a Salford Shirt, its been a pleasure and his winning try in the grandfinal in 2003 @ widnes will always bring tears to my eyes.
"Feed the horse and he will score" We did and he did lots

| I think it is time to let go. As said in previous posts, we need to move forward as a club and Littler wont be part of it. Sure he has done a steady job in his 10 years, but it is now time to say goodbye and thanks.

| I say keep him , he has been solid and consistent this season , and however hard people try to edge him out of the side he always ends up forcing his way back in ! ...keep him otherwise he'll end up at Leigh and that would suck as he truly is an adopted Salfordian.

| Rather have littler in the second row than sibbitt any time, after 5 minutes sibbitt is bent over hands on knees puffing and blowing hiding in the centres where stu will still be running it in hard and strong after 80 minutes his work rate is second to none

| I can understand both points of view with regards to Stu, in my honest opinion I think the club need to move forward and if they're not offering Alker a playing contract for next season then I can't see them offering Littler one either. As already mentioned he has played really really well over the last few weeks (maybe he's playing for a contract who knows?), saying this it wouldn't be the end of the world if we did decide to keep him on for one more season as a squad player. Mind you people have been saying this for years and years yet somehow he always manages to get himself a starting spot week in week out mainly due to his never say die attitude and the lack of injuries he's had. My heart says yes keep him, but my head says no we need to move forward with a new breed of quality players if the club is going to improve.

| I see nothing wrong with giving Stu another year as a squad player. Someone to fill injury gaps. Whether he would be interested in a step down in role is another matter.

I think he'd jump at the chance if he was offered any sort of contract, I'm sure he'd rather be a bit part player here than take the step down to the Championship.

Surprisingly correct if you look at this seasons stats Stuart are better ( including 6 offloads !). 15 mistakes / 19 Penalties also in 18 appearances .
Basically in with a shout next season aslong as his contract is not excessive

| It would be great for Stu to get 1 more year and he can realise all the years of promises and walk out at the new stadium!

Spot on there mate. Sibbitt has pretty much under achieved wherever he has played, and Stew has been pretty solid: (and improved his discipline). His work rate is first class. I would keep him.
