I think j Griffin will get the nod over Evalds. Evalds will be replacement instead of Tomkins.

Harris said lots of things about Griffin in the week so I reckon he'll be in the starting 13.

Tomkins has to play for me i know we won last week without him but he's our speed around the ruck.

Yes Evalds & Griffin was a tough choice as was Walton, Ashurst & Walne.

It's a very tough choice in fairness whoever plays i won't be disappointed looks like Meli is also out of favour now!

Was Tomkins injured or dropped last week? If the former then maybe he will be back.

I still think Griffin is guaranteed to start though.

I didn't go against Castleford but listening to the reports he got carried off so might have a knock on effect from that.

I think Logan was 18th man last week. He was the water carrier during the match and didn't seem to be carrying an injury. Maybe Iestyn left him out because he wanted to go with a biggish pack since that's what Huddersfield have.

I suspect Josh Griffin might have been chosen over Niall Evalds last week because he was up against Jermaine McGillvary, who is, in Paul Cullen speak, a big unit.

Rapira shouldn't be near the 17 if all of Hock, Hansen, Ashurst etc are all fit.

Josh Griffin will play. Don't think Evalds will make the 17. Shame but he's having plenty of game time and is highly thought of.
Tomkins will be on the bench so I think Walton will miss out,unless either Hock or HH is not fully fit and being eased back into the 19.
Oh how you're underestimating Rapira. We demolished the Huddersfield pack and he was a key part of that.

He doesnt spend much time on the field and as far as I can remember - but the Stattos will tell me differently - hasnt made a break since joining which for a back row forward isnt good enough.

His defence is good mind but would want to see him for 60 minutes in a match not 40.

Rapira has been a waste of the cap and if we can needs to be shipped out in the off season. Hes incredibly average and offers nothing going forward, his defence is okay but you don’t sign a guy because he can defend. He has to offer something going forward which Rapira doesn’t , plus he loves an injury of 5! Nicking a wages and needs shifting!
Would rather keep Ashurst and ship this guy out instead!

Rapira is solid in defence but that's it. His stats going forward make dreadful reading too.

I'd probably leave out Walton and Rapira but that would leave Lee and Evalds on the bench which I can't see so will be Walton and Evalds to miss out I reckon. I've not seen J Griffin play yet but Harris commented on the positive play between him and MCB so sounds like he'll keep his place.

I think Tomkins was missing last week because Harris wanted Evalds in case Locke couldn't last the distance

In terms of Rapira just checked his stats - he's the 11th highest tackler in our team and 19th highest missed tackles so that's not bad (but not special). He's the 19th highest average gain maker above Hansen, Ashurst, Dixon, J Walne and Walton so about mid-range for the forwards. But 0 clean breaks and 4 tackle busts, 1 ahead of D Griffin and McPherson and 2 below Ashurst. Only 2 penalties given away.

I think Steve Rapira gets his place in the squad because he's an aggressive player, and, judging by Iestyn's comments after the Huddersfield game, that's what he wants in the team.
