I was thinking of a creating a banner for the South Stand, but I'm not the most creative of people so I was wondering if anyone had some good ideas/suggestions? I have a banner printer at my work so I can print a banner up to 100m in length at cost price so it will be relatively inexpensive.

My initial idea was just to write 'welcome to hell' in big bold capital letters with our new logo in the centre or at the sides. Maybe slip a reference to ST on it somewhere too?

Think it might look cool, I'd approach the club with that as I'd bet the Doc would love the fans having something like in the stand to make it feel moe like the old shed.

I'll get in touch with the club and see if this sort of thing will be permitted next year. I agree, it would be great to try and recreate the atmosphere of the old shed.

Great idea, but best to check first what size could be accommodated and where (and who/when could it be put up). Bear in mind that the stadium company might get y about wanting proof that the banner is fire retardant.

I'd definitely check that slogan with someone at the club, as there are plenty of sensitive souls about (apparently) who might find something like that offensive.

I always fancied doing a banner that said "LES DIABLES ROUGES S'ELEVANT" (The Red Devils are rising ... may be slightly off, anyone with better French is welcome to correct it).

Just emailed my ex in Brussels to find out what the exact translation is so I'll let you know as soon as she replies.

Might want to get it double-checked if it comes back something like "Michigan Rouge est une déception dans la chambre".

How about a banner with something radical like 'Salford RLFC' on it?

How about everyone lobs a few pennies in and we get one thanking the Doc?

Failing that we have to go along the welcome to hell line as I think it's a real winner and let's face it many have been calling for a change back to the Red Devils so why not fully embrace it.
