| Considering that this fixture last year was one of the better memories of the willows, I was just woundering if any one has come terms that we will never play there again.?
As for me it was a massive part of my childhood watching Salford at the willows and also playing there a few times and even though the new ground is better than I expected it just isn't the same by miles

| Yep... Miss it loads... Going to the games at Barton is not a patch on going to The Willows. I may perhaps see it differently had I had the option to stand along the side rather than behind the goal... But I'm not into sitting down for games yet... so my whole enjoyment is impacted... and the lack of atmosphere is awful.

| Even though the SCS is just round the corner from my house I miss the Willows massively. I miss going in the con club before the game, I miss strolling into the shed 2 minutes before kick off, I miss the smell of the toilets and hotdog stands, I miss the atmosphere of the shed (even though it was poor in the last few years it's still mile better than Barton), I miss the smell of winter green as you walk past the changing rooms, I miss going for a pint in the Variety centre at half time, I miss going back in there after the game before heading back to the con club until stupid o clock. Game days don't feel the same anymore.
But as you say times have changed and we need to move on, as hard as it is.

| Missing it? co i am,missing the friends i went with who now won`t go.Missing walking around the old lady bumping into friends who have stood in the same place for years and having a chin wag.Missing being able to walk to the ground and have a few pints in the con club and dodging boothy trying to get my entrance fee.Missing the top support the shed gave.Missing the buzz on match day waiting to get going to the Willows. And worst of all ,i miss the feeling of being proud to be a Salfordian amongst friends.

| Miss the willows bigtime.
It had more character, soul and atmosphere than Barton can ever offer.
This new stadia should of been named The Joey Barton Stadium. It's Foul, ugly, and a pain in the with not much thought upstairs.

| Well had my 1st visit to your stadium tonight. Not a bad little stadium but it is definitely lacking some atmosphere at the moment. The small stand on the side should definitely have been made standing terracing. Bit peed off that I Pre booked for parking but not one person actually checked I had paid to park.

| Always enjoyed visiting the willows.
First time at your new home today and enjoyed it. Apart from having to park at the airfield and walking the long way in the rain i'd say it was great. Think if you can fill it for the big games the atmosphere will be great. The away end kept the noise in and think most of us enjoyed the game.

| I miss the Willows loads. The biggest thing the new stadium is lacking is atmosphere. It'd be a lot better if we could stand down one side, and there were a few extra things like pictures of past players etc, like Langtree Park. Nowt we can do though, I'm sure it'll feel a lot better if we can put a winning team together.

Agree completely about the finishing touches. Langtree Park is much better in that respect, although I do believe changes will be forthcoming.
As for atmosphere, I think the only hope right now is for some of the south stand fans to take the initiative here, as I don't have much hope that the push will come from the club.
Something does need to happen though.

| I miss it badly. I LOVED the Willows. What made it harder to leave was the appalling season and final game meek surrender.
I'm glad that many fans have 'moved on', but for me I'm still chosing to follow Salford from afar. I just don't fancy sitting in a soulless 'Plastic Box', sharing it with the kick and clap brigade and having the p*** taken out of me every season by the numpties in charge of the club.
I hope things change, but for now.....................I just don't fancy it.
