| Rather worrying if you ask me! 3900 there on friday(900 from hull) plus god knows how many abusing the "try before you by scheme"!! We have had a few decent crowds,Wire,Saints and Wigan but they all bought well over 2000 fans to the party! our die hard hardcore support is now dipping below 3000 and i just dont see where the club seem to think an extra 3000 home fans are going to come from to at least give us a min home support of 6000 for when we move to Barton?? I know people keep saying the club have signaled it out as a lost cause trying there hardest to get fans to the willows, but with only 6 home s/l games left surely we should be doing a lot more to get extra would be fans on board for the big move!! next week will be another sub 3000 turn out and with only Leeds likely to bring a decent number to the willows in the second half of the season,it is looking like we will average a perfetic 4-5000 for our last season at our beloved home for the last 100 years!! Very bad marketing and unless we give 5000 freebies away for our final game against the dragons the poor old lady is hardly gonna have had a great goodbye!! Interested to here if others on here are worried that IT ill be a waste of time opening the 3 tiny stands up and save costs on stewarding and staff and just have the big west stand open!hate to be so negative but i just hope the club have some good ideas up there sleeves!!

| It would not surprise me if our last home game of the season is largest crowd of the season.
I'm old enough to remember the centenary game against Widnes and the crowd that attracted. There will be a few who'll go just to be at the last game at the Willows same as with the centenary game.

if it isn't the largest crowd of the season it would be very disappointing - we should be filling the ground for the very last game at The Willows - let's see!!

| Yeah, anyone within the city that has had any interest in the club at any time in their life should be at the Willows for that final fixture. The Willows is an enormous part of our history and deserves a fitting send off. You only have to look down the road and the disgraceful end to Station Rd. Swinton will never recover. 4,000 at our final game would feel like being at a funeral. We should be getting at least double that for the Catalans game. Heres hoping!
A cup run would be a start to gain some momentum. If we could reach the semis/final that would get people talking about the club again.

| The future of Salfords crowds lie outside of Salford. Even a winning team will see an apathetic response from the people who live in our city. In the new ground they will have the new excuse that it's now too difficult to get to, will cost too much to get there by local transport or the gate price will be too high.
I think that's one reason why the board really wanted the Barton site. Nowhere else in Salford would the club get that kind of exposure and get it out to people outside of the catchment area. And all for free! ( well free-ish).

| Our crowds are shocking and always will be unless we start winning. The problem is when we do actually get a good crowd (wire at home for example) we go and let everyone down by getting d!cked its been the same for years, the club have no one else to blame apart from the 17 players who seem to let us down every other week.

Ave it, unfortunately, is right. We just start to build some momentum, and whallop we throw it all away by losing to the Crusaders, or like he says, "getting d!cked by Warrington". Not that anyone expects us to win against Warrington, but a spirited and galant lose would send people home saying, "Well if they can do that against Warrington, what can they do against a slightly lesser side?" Similar to what happened after the Wigan game!!

I buy more into the play well and they will come, rather than build it and they will come.
I really think, the club are trying to get a new manager in place for next season and have, possibly, decided to let Vievers carry on in the meantime. I'll not digress, but better performances would result in better crowds!!! I'll still wonder where we would be now if the club had managed to sign Mozza on his return from Aus. Not the be all and end all, but we were on the crest of a wave and the local boy done good would have spurred us on further.
Maybe a few more local players would increase attendances?

I get a feeling that Morley might be approached at the end of the season for one year playing for Salford at the new ground and bet he would jump at the chance. Throw him the captains armband and for me you might have the marketing tool to get the new ground in peoples minds and a motivated local lad who wants to help his hometown.
On the Salford born players the Waktins Brothers aside there aren't that many and can't see either Bradford or Leeds letting either go.

| Mozza wanted to play for Salford - and still would - but we couldn't afford him at the time.

It might be too late in Mozza's career, for him to make a difference. Asking him to play on, might be one season too many for his body? On the other hand, he may provide the inspiration that the team needs, to lift their game to the next level. He could make a very good player/ assistant coach also?
As for local lads, is Adam Neal not from Salford? If you are including Irlam/Cadishead as Salford. What about Adam Clay, where is he from?
