| Look we all know the supposed new stadium isnt anywhere near happening at the moment, so lets not even talk about that.
If it comes down to the crunch and Salford is told that playing out of their current stadium they will not make the cut, would you want the club to play games at a stadium that is up to standard for the short to mid term if it means the club keeps its place in SL?

| United have already said we can use their ground, if it means keeping in Super League no problem really.

Salford will not be in super league next time around, not worth discussing IMO. I love salford, I love your old ground but it's just what I think the RFL will do, I hope something changes. Widnes and Halifax and probably Toulouse are all better placed to be in super league.

| The RFL threats are nonsense.
If Salford go down and the stadium is then built Sale Sharks will go in there.
The RFL and everyone knows this and the consequencies for Rugby League in the Salford/Manchester area would be dire indeed.
If by the time the new franchises are being discussed which is two years away, as long as there are at least the yellow diggers going about their business Salford will be fine in SL.
Salford have two years to make it happen.

OK then I will have you an even £100 on it that Salford will be involved in the next Franchise - you prepared to take me on?
If so then nominate a credible third party to whom we both deposit the money.
If Salford are in then I get the £200 and if not you get the £200.
As you seem to be so confident that its not worth discussing I think I have been very fair laying you even money.

| call me mystic meg.
I am sick of hearing all the gossip.
The stadium will be built on contract negioations around the new barton Dock project.
It will not be to the spec as desired and will not be 20,000 seater.
This is why Leigh are buildind their francise bid now.
Next step from RLF to re name Salford to Manchester.
Correct information from City Council & Peel Holdinds.
PS A recent bid for 12 m for the stadium has been recently turned down from Sport England.
RL is not santioned as a development sport in the UK,.

| The lack of funding from Sport England is a blow but on the whole your district has had a lot of funding from them for other sports.
Our (Wakefield's) bid to sporting England has been looked on very favourably but that is due to the lack of sporting previsions within our district. mainly due to our v.poor council. although you could say it's not what you know but who you know, as the chairman of the sub committee for the construction of our new ground has also been the chairman of sport England.
FWIW it's not just you thats having trouble with funding Castleford still havn't got funding 12 months after having planning permission.
