I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that for the first time in five years since I started watching Salford RL I will not be going to Wigan on Monday night. Given some of the recent performances I have witnessed the thought of our injury decimated and seemingly less than interested side being involved in a home try fest is just too much for me to take. I've always enjoyed the experience of going to Wigan's ground so deciding not to make the game is a difficult decision and almost feels like I'm letting the side down but my mind is made up. Mind you, if we do manage to pull of an albeit unlikely win I will be first to indulge in some self flagellation as punishment! I'll be interested though to see how many actually do make the short trip down the East Lancs Road given the recent goings on as well as United playing at Everton and being shown live on TV.

[iDon't worry 'TangerineDream' you won't be the only one missing the trip to the DW Stadium tonight and come to think about the trip to Leeds in a couple of weeks time,

In my opinion it would have done Wigan Warriors no harm to offer all away fans a free ticket tonight because at the end of the day they have messed about with this fixture be it in truth not all there own fault.

Good luck tonight to the Reds here's hoping the Warriors take pity on us because on paper they could rattle up a massive score if they go flat out!

My prediction Wigan by 42..Here's hoping I'm wrong of course.

Not looking forward to it in the slightest, but out of habbit I'm going. 2.30 train from the crescent gives me enough time to drink enough beer to numb the pain of what I'm about to see.

I'd guess at maybe 120-130 will be there. Very similar to the Hull trip.

Working late tonight, first week of enrolment so won't get away in time.

The Weather

Not going tonight, first time I have missed a Wigan away in years.
Said I would stop after the London trip and sticking to my guns.
Until at least 4 of that team move on my hard earned money will stay in my pocket.

first time I will have not gone to Wigan, bit strange but surprisingly or worryingly I have not had the devil in me saying don't be miserable get, go & support your team.

I watched from the Wigan South end, we had about 50-60 fans who made a fantastic noise to support the lads. Unfortunately our play at times resembled a set of circus clowns. Popping the ball at the scrum and not picking it up. Wasting possession direct from another scrum. Some of our lads tried hard. I thought Walne had a good outing, showing lots of conviction in attack and defence.

Many of our players (forwards) are simply not good enough at this level.

I won't be making the trip to Leeds.

Kudos to those of you who made the trip!

Did they all come in the same car?? Also why would we give away free tickets to away fans?? Thats the stupidest thing I've ever read. All fixtures can be changed. Be ready to have your fixtures moved if Sale make the knock out rounds in Europe or get a home play off.

Well your club did do discounts, but it is a monday night and with a few of the players playing like the couldn't give a t055 why would people waste money to watch, but where are all the Wigan fans, noticed nearly 20,000 there on Sunday.

Theres a difference between watching Chelsea, champions of Europe and then Salford! Not exactly the big draw for the casual fans now are you?

The players for much of the season have hardly been an inspiring sight to the fans... so tough... It's just a shame that anybody went... Would love them to have had no support there at all... In my opinion... going along to watch them is showing your acceptance for some of the rubbish that they have been serving up.

Appeared like your support tried their best not to show up. Seen more Catalan fans show up for away games.
