That'd would mean looking at an english forward which there isn't a lot availible. I'm sure Sheens refused to sign Dave Taylor who had a alright game last night and is what we're short of.

Could deregister Vidot while he gets fit and get him (or another overseas player) in on a pay-per-play basis.

We should of gone in for a forward instead if Vidot imo. We had plenty of cover on the wing.

I was told on Friday to expect us to sign a well known prop (no names) so Mason fits the bill in that's respect. He is currently in the process of applying for a Samoan visa to by-pass the overseas ruling for Catalan.

JGR/MR, are you surprised that this big prop issue wasn't sorted before now or was it down to the delay in the qualifiers. from Friday we definitely to big lumps to to get us out of what could become a serious problem unless sorted. I hate doing Salford down but its the truth of the matter, we ain't big enough at prop and the players in there i kinda feel sorry for tbh. (i'm dreading Saints on TV as it could and i don't say this kindly really put our season several steps back if we are annihilated - i can't make it coz i live quite a far distance away but have Sky and am even thinking of not tuning in) I hate to see my club drubbed it really gets me down but, i really hope and pray i'm wrong.

The very real problem for me is we don't want to through a load of money at a big old fashioned style prop that when the warmer weather comes along will not be of as much use, the reduction in the amounts of interchanges will have the effect that props and second rows will basically become the same thing.

I know he was on good money but I'd have liked Griffin to stay or as I've said before try and get Jewitt back at the club, he's now coming into his prime and he would certainly add bulk to the front row options.
