953.jpg 2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!:953.jpg |
|
| So does that mean tickets are actually cheaper on match day than buying over the phone or online

| Yeah i tweeted the club regarding this and had no reply.
So the minimum cost if per ordered is £17.50 unless you pre-purchase direct from the stadium. I cant see why anybody would go for this option when you can turn up on the day and it costs you less. The only benefit being to avoid a bigger que on match day, but you still have to que for the collection anyway.
Sorry just needed to get this off my chest.

| A mate phoned the stadium and ordered two tickets to collect on the day. It worked out at 15.50 each. This suggests the booking fee per ticket was not applied, but the £1 per transaction collect at box office fee was applied.
With a stadium that's so out of the way for many, I fear it's a case of shooting in the foot that we have such fees. We already lag behind almost everyone else by not allowing cash turnstiles, so making pre-pay more awkward/costly is a double whammy.

| I've emailed the Admin at the ground to ask when the Hull FC away / coach tickets might be released. Only 2 weeks away now and nothing about the game on either clubs website.
Didn't MK say we'd have the 'best website in SL' from Jan 1st at the open day?

| We've also heard rumours at Wigan that it will be £10 to park on the stadium car park.
Anyone know if Eccles RLFC will have their car park open?

Was told earlier that a disabled driver from Wigan called asking and was told that it was £10.
If correct £10 to park is a scandal, but to charge disabled drivers I doubt would be legal.

| I'm pretty sure it must be legal.
When Quins were at The Stoop disabled drivers were charged for their parking spaces.
Is Eccles RL open do you know?

| You are all forgetting , Salford RLFC, have nothing to do with the Stadium.
Buy your tickets in advance , collect in advance and save yourself some money, if i can drive from Derbyshire and do it, other people who live much closer can also do it and stop moaning , and saying the club is ripping you of.
WE Salford RLFC do not own the ground , car park etc .It is owned by the SMC, and they will get as much money out of us and Sale as they can.
Buy tickets in advance, collect in advance, and turn up early and park somewhere else, there is a Pub with food now at the bottom of the road, drink in there and dont give a penny to the SMC if you feel that way apart from what you pay to get in the match.
I do not like it , like everyone else , but there is not a thing we can do about it.
This moaning about the ground has been going on since day one, if you dont like it dont go.
Salford to win by 10 points.

It is quite legal.
My mum has a blue badge, and has always said as long as she gets a priority parking space, she sees no reason why she shouldn't pay.

Tbf, being from Wigan is only a minor disability.

| Sale have charged £10 for the car park for the last couple of seasons (added an extra £5 to pay for free shuttle buses to and from the TC) so maybe the stadium just quoted the wrong amount?
The pub now also charge £5 for carpark
on a match day, whether you buy anything or not, but that only started happening recently when they realised the price of the stadium carpark.
There is no legal requirement to provide disabled parking free, just a requirement that they can have the same access as other paying customers; until the start of Sale's season the stadium allowed this for free, but now appear to charge. The reason they gave is the restricted size of the car park now that the development sites around the stadium are in process of sale. The only CP attached to the stadium is the tarmaced one at the front. All the stoned areas are sites up for sale and development.

Am I right in reading that you have drove from Derbyshire to collect your tickets from the stadium to save 50p?
