Have copied it below, is a difficult read but some good things there.
Dear Red Devil,
You can definitely tell that winter is upon us and with the bad weather last weekend we took the step to extend our loyalty discount on the 2016 season ticket until this evening. Even with the extra 10% off and the chance to pay over nine months there are still some of you who haven’t signed up for next season yet.
We know from looking at historical records over the past few seasons that there are fans out there who always buy in December, January or even on the eve of the season. Whenever you like to book your ticket, just drop me a line and we can set up a simple payment on a convenient date, and then you don’t have to worry about remembering to do it nearer the time, it will all be taken care of for you.
Of course, you still have until 9.30pm this evening to take advantage of the current offer.
I would like to thank the 1400 supporters who have already secured their membership for next year, these are several new fans amongst the group and with still 3 months until the start of the new season, we do aim to improve significantly upon previous ticket sales numbers, your continued loyalty to the Club is really appreciated
With the first period of membership sales soon to be behind us, all at the Club are looking forward now to the next stage and a series of planned “recruitment events” that are designed to encourage fans who maybe come along regularly but don’t buy a membership to do so. Maybe along the way we get to connect with some fans we used to have back in The Willows days who have fallen away for whatever reason. Whatever the reason they don’t have a season ticket, we want to listen to them and persuade them that they should have one!
With that in mind Tim Sheens and Adrian Morley will be holding our first event here at the AJ Bell Stadium next Thursday (26th) at 7pm and we will be contacting lapsed season ticket holders and fans who have maybe been to the odd game that we have records in our database for.
I must stress that this event is designed to re-engage with supporters who have slipped through our fingers and it is not aimed at season ticket holders – we will be holding lots of events for you guys soon including our Christmas Open Day on the 13th December 2015. If however you are a season ticket holder and want to come along, you can do if you bring a non-season ticket holder with you. We don’t care if it’s a family member, a friend, neighbour or work colleague – but we’d like you to make sure that they may be interested in becoming a season ticket holder.
So, if you are a season ticket holder for 2016 and want to take part, drop me an email with your name and the name of the person you are bringing. For every new potential fan you drag along you will get an entry into our Dream Ticket draw that will be held on the night. We will pull two names out of the hat and the winners will get tickets to next season’s Magic Weekend, Grand Final and Four Nations Final as a thank you for helping us recruit.
Our greatest ambassadors are you – our existing season ticket holders. We need you to help us get more people to sign up and we look forward to you bringing potential new fans with you. To achieve our target levels for 2016, we would need 500 of you can encourage a new fan to join the Red Army, it would be fantastic if you are greatest advocates could respond to that challenge and bring a new fan along next week, if you can register with me TODAY
For your information the recruitment events will also involve direct contact with all Head teachers in the City through Adrian and the other recruitment events will be planned in and around the City, in amateur Clubs, pubs, clubs etc. I know many of you have children in Salford School so do what
Marwan will also be working closely with North West Business leaders in developing new Corporate packages including the Chairman’s Club, the Business Club and corporate season tickets where the Club will be expecting much greater investment in the Club particularly with the move to Friday nights.
Now to round up with a bit of what’s going on around the club. I’m pleased to say all the players, with the exception of Daniel Vidot and the guys who played for Wales in the European Championships are now back with us. Daniel, Phil and Craig will be with us in a week or so.
Saturday saw the arrival of NRL stars Robert Lui and Ben Murdoch-Masila – you can see an interview we have released with them here
https://vimeo.com/145962014 and Tim Sheens is due to land at Manchester International Airport this morning and head straight into work, where our activity will continue on completing our squad for next season!
The final thing I want to talk about this week is merchandise and our club shop particularly. Without dwelling on a major history lesson, the owners of the previous club invested heavily in the shop unit at the AJ Bell Stadium but had to give up the lease before going into administration.
Now, the situation is simple, to operate from that unit we would have to pay very high costs to Sale Sharks as a tenant. The Sharks currently only open their shop on matchdays and for a day in the week anyway.
We have looked at the viability of options such as a unit in the Lowry Outlet Mall but the reality is our sales of merchandise is not as high as some club’s in the league and to invest in an outlet would take a large chunk of the income from sales.
In 2016 we will be doing the majority of our sales online but we will be bringing in a mobile retail unit on match days and at other events.
At this moment in time this is the best option for us. What we do has to be the right choice for the Red Devils in the long-term and we are happy that with Raging Bull we have a partner who can help us reach our goals effectively.
Speaking of partners we are also getting close to unveiling our 2016 kits and sponsors. More information on this will follow over the coming days but we hope you will be able to join us for an event we have planned around this.
Thanks, as ever for your ongoing support
Martin
