| But who's idea was it to leak the news that we are looking at 6 high profile signings - how motivational was that ever going to be?

There may be a grain of truth in this suggestion, but it sounds like a lame excuse to me. It's also very disrespectful to a superb Bradford team and what must have been a committed and skilled performance to beat you by such a handsome margin.
Bradford also had the added incentive of a home game, a need to put daylight between them and Leigh in the bottom half and an intense desire to ram the idiotic words and patronising earlier comments of Marwan Koukash down his ample gob. Your chairman is a bloody liability.

You're going to have to narrow that down a bit.

MK once said on Twitter that the Championship clubs could not compete at playing level with SL teams due to salary cap constraints. Given that Salford in the Koukash era have spent more than most and that they are linked with multiple new signings, this gives these opposition paupers in the Championship some extra motivation to prove a point.
Everyone has been talking up Leigh as finishing in 5th place in the middle 8s, but my money is on Bradford after today.
In the short term, Koukash needs to bin his twitter account and zip his big gob and refrain from going public with his thoughts. I am sure there are some Salford fans who share this view.
Good luck.

| I think the good doctor has been very quiet and finally something has sunk in, to be honest..You don't see many Chairman stood outside their stadium greeting the home/away support..He might be a clown, but I must admit he has class and respect also.

| It had nothing to do with it. After our hammering of Leigh last week, it was obvious from the body language of our players during the warm up that they thought yesterday would be a walk in the park. A case of turning up, going through the motions and picking up the "easy" 2 points on offer. Instead, they were caught cold and shell shocked by the enthusiasm of the Bulls players both in defence and attack.
When Jake Mullaney is cutting through your defence like a knife through hot butter, you know the effort just isn't there. They've just made the job more difficult for themselves than it needed to be, I expect a big response at Halifax in a couple of weeks times.

I admire your optimism.
I used to be like that. Tried to be pragmatic, instead of letting emotion take over.
However, I'm really struggling to remain supporting this Club, and it pains me to say it. The Bradford result has little to do with it except highlight a gaping problem that Salford has had since I started watching them thirty-odd years ago. There seems to be something deep and intrinsically wrong in the make-up of the Club. No matter what happens, who's in place, or who plays. We have been a team that has been unable to gain momentum in any department in the top flight for what seems like forever. Certainly a life time. We have never grasped opportunities on or off the field when they've presented themselves. Bradford is a textbook example of typical Salford.
To be honest, I'm amazed we're still watching Salford at all, because really, if we're honest, it's a bit of a miracle we're in the SL and pretty fortunate to have a Club at all. The next few weeks are crucial, if we still want to be disappointed next season in SL. While the Championship is far from the end of the world, for us as a Club in a non-RL area and with little chance of turning a profit I think it will be a case of applying the morphine pump before we slip away.
While I appreciate it's not the end of world just yet, and a turnaround of effort could still see us coast through and avoid that fourth or fifth spot, I'm just getting a little tired of the same old drama. Survive and we still have to go through the soap opera of appointing a new coach and rebuilding a team. Again. The same patterns are emerging of trying to buckle together something that might work but never does has finally sapped what little fortitude I had as a Salford fan. I'm running on empty.
We all know that if we're in SL next season the chances of having a season free of drama, constant bad press, poor decisions, and opportunities lost awaits. I'm just not sure, after all this time stuck in groundhog day, whether it's time for me to call it a day.

| Yesterday was just rank bad; perhaps the worst Salford performance I have seen in a very long time.
Not a single player can hold their head up and say that they gave it their best shot. I can't fathom how this same group of players managed to convincingly beat Leigh last week, but couldn't string two passes together yesterday.
Credit to Bradford though; they wanted it more. It just goes to show that heart and desire can convincingly turn over a team which has a higher calibre of player.
Lets hope that yesterday was a one-off and we bounce back against Halifax with a bit of fire in our belly.

| Jesus, I thought I was quite pessimistic at times.
Don't forget this is the same Salford team that took Leigh to the cleaners last week. Following Bradford' result at Wakefield, it seems obvious to me that despite whatever the coaching staff have been telling them in training this week the majority thought it would be a case of turning up and picking up an easy 2 points. I really don't think they expected Bradford to be as up for it as they were.
Any half-decent Championship club would have beat us yesterday, I include Halifax and Sheffield in that too. You'd hope the embarrassment of yesterdays "performance" will stand us in good stead for the remainder of the qualifiers.
Sometimes you just need to take a step back from it all and look at the wider picture. Shocks results like this are common in professional sport, always have been and always will be.

| Exactly, rugby league isn't a sport that you can go into half hearted, I had to listen to Radio Leeds to compound my misery yesterday - two commentators that said "you cannot believe this", err yes I can we've all had a f*cking lifetime of it. My missus took one look at me asked how Salford got on followed by I will be in the front room if you need me! Point is, we are the most unpredictable team in any division and against Halifax I can see a big response. Its still in our own hands, keep the faith, Salford till I die!

Did you think yourself as a fan! It would be a walk in the park? There's no championship side in the middle 8's going to roll over and die.You wasted us as you say,but forgot to take the same mentality of that game to Odsal.Do the same with Fax and you will have a similar result.

| I'm disappointed with your guys! Feeling utterly depressed after our Saturday frustrations against Wakefield, I consoled myself by thinking that things couldn't get much worse. Then your lot rolled over at Bradford.................................

I wont lie - yes I did. I thought we'd have beaten Bradford by 30+ points going off our performance last weekend as well as theirs vs Wakefield. I suspect this was the mindset of the players too and they were punished for it, I have seen some poor Salford performances over the years but that was one of the worst.
Thankfully I expect that result to give us a bit of a kick up the backside which should result in a much improved performance against 'Fax.
Our dire performance has certainly made the qualifiers more interesting though...

| I see it as Salford selflessly putting the greater good of RL ahead of their own interests. Everyone was saying the middle 8s weren't working because SL sides kept winning. so we thought we'd make it more interesting and give the RFL's new structure the shot in the arm it needed. People should be thanking us

I would've thanked you if you'd made the gesture the week before when you played us
