The era of free tickets has returned to our club (in all but name), despite Koukash once stating free tickets have gone and gone forever. Bit of a kick in the teeth to us season ticket holders.

Not really free tickets though is it?
Seeing as you're a Wigan fan it shouldn't affect you anyway.

| read that three times and didn't see the word free used at any point. How can any promotion to help fill the stadium be negative? I do wonder the mind set of some supporters.

| I know I piped up saying people should just ignore this bellend the other week, but I've had enough myself, now. Give it up, Mario.

| I only came here for the free tickets!
I am now going to go away very disappointed.
I will also seek legal advice against Mario for false advertising

| Good grief ... freebies for the unwashed.
I an already writing a letter to MK about the people he let in on Sunday. I'm sure I smelled alcohol on a few breathes and it was the Christian Sabbath day. I also noted some strangers in the stand towards the bridge. None were Salford fans. I bet they did not have Salford season tickets.
We must not allow this, Mario, we must keep Salford City Reds for the pure and committed. I know I should be committed.

| Are you a Salford fan - oh sod it that's old.
Bugger off Mario, you're bellendery knows no bounds.
If the Doc has too stand on Church street in Eccles in a pink tutu giving tickets away too drum up more attention to the club do it is what I say.
I do wonder sometimes with Peel/Medi City being linked to the club and stadium why with the huge presence they have in the area they are not more involved in promoting the club, surely if Peel actively promoted the stadium (thus benefiting Salford) they would generate more ticket sales, more wet sales and sell more dog food on a bun.

It's getting tiring now isn't it?
Can a mod have a word with him? He might not be doing anything wrong with regards to the AUP, but he's trampling all over the spirit of the forums.
A Wigan fan who's obsessed with Salford, and not in a good way. Pretending to be a genuine supporter. That's a pretty sad existence.

| I'm putting a price on Marios head, anyone who can get him banned gets a can of Umbongo, a luxury night in Swinton (a two man tent in the car park at McDonalds on the top road) and free season ticket at Barton sat next to that chunky Herbert from the North East even more annoying than me.

| What are people's opinion on this move by the club? Great idea or could we be reacting to disappointing numbers again this year, a little too soon? The big question is would more attend anyway when we eventually realise our potential as a team and register some really good results? Or do we need the extra numbers now (Vocal support) to help the team realise their potential?

| If we want larger crowds, it'll help. It's not free tickets anyway, simply discounted. Every club has discounted tickets, indeed a lot still do free tickets to, just not every game as far as I'm aware.
It's fine saying fans will come when we have a run of 5, 10, 20 games unbeaten or whatever. Having the crowd supporting the players to start with helps us get there. Not that I expect us to go 20 games unbeaten - 5 would be nice and we're not too far off!
