| Huge game this one! I'm expecting a big away following from Salford after some good results recently.
Could move up to 4th in the table and maybe even a point behind Wire if results go our way over the weekend.
Saints v Wire
Cas v Salford
Hull FC v Catalan
Leeds v Wigan
Wakey v Hudds
Widnes v Hull KR
There's return train from Manchester to Castleford for less than £20.
17:25 -> 18:49
22:34 -> 00:03
Hopefully the club will have a few buses on too.
Be great to see as many Salford fans there as possible on Friday night!
Who would be in your 17?

| A huge following at 8.00pm on a Friday night in Castleford? It’s going to be a challenge for the majority of us making it over there I would have thought. If we can come away with the 2 points from this one though, I would be ecstatic. Difficult to know what kind of Cas’ team we’ll be playing, as last time out at home they demolished Wigan yet last week looked woeful at Huddersfield.
They’ve also had Friday, Saturday and Sunday to recover.
I expect the 17 to remain unchanged, with perhaps Jay Walton unfortunately dropping out for the return of Paterson (if fit).

| I think the only thing that could go against us is we have the shorter turnaround from our last game - this seems to make so much difference at the moment. On paper we should be able to get a win from Cas and Widnes, they are going to be tight games though I reckon!

Kevin Brown is out injured for Widnes, I hope me makes a full recovery in a few weeks time & is back to his very best.

| It definitely is an advantage for Cas with the extra days rest but I expect Harris to have us fired up for this one with it being such an important match.
We came back from France and managed to beat Wakefield on Sunday so hopefully we can make the most of this short turn around too.
Always a tough place to go though...

| Expecting a tight game in all honesty i would even freshen it up and rest the likes of Locke & BJB to prevent further injuries. And bring in Evalds and hopefully Paterson if fit.
Castleford will have the fire in the bellies after there poor showing against Huddersfield, hopefully though we'll have to much for them and bring home another valuable 2 points.

| I think this game will be a real test and show us if any noticeable progress has been made since Harris arrived. The team are going there with a bit of confidence, unbeaten in the last 3 games with key players having had more time to gain match fitness. Last year we went there when Castleford were riding high and we lost only to a very late try. One thing we can't afford to do is start the game poorly like we did yesterday. Personally I feel to have any chance of winning we will need to put in our best defensive performance of the season so far.

| I think Cas will beat us this week. They always raise their game against us with the recent bad blood/Rangi/Sneyd incidents.
There's a slight chance we can sneak a win, but it really depends on who defends against Carney. Our weakness in defense is on his side. If Paterson is back and in the centres then we may have a chance, otherwise I think we need to expect a loss.

You'll have to concentrate for the full 88 minutes this time.

I agree with you Butcher. I don't like being defeatist but I'd be pleasantly surprised if we win this one after what they did to Wigan. Although I did have us down for a 30 point loss in France after what they did to Warrington and look what happened.

| I did predict us to give Wakefield a pasting but maybe I was being overly optimistic.
This week though I expect a much tougher game but also another Salford victory.
Castleford were woeful at times against Huddersfield and no doubt Daryl Powell with have a rocket up their ar$e this week.
We really need the pack to get on top of Cas and we must perform better than we did against Wakefield. Having Patterson back should give us a massive boost.
Castleford 22 - Salford 30

You were possibly swayed by their performance at Widnes but that was obviously on a different playing surface. The Vikings are a totally different proposition on their artificial pitch.
