First impression is average design and v expensive.

£50 for a hoodie? Add the fact that the uneducated presume a sports top labelled 'red devils' means you are a Man U fan.

I'm hoping that this is just a glimpse at the range. If that's the lot then someone's lacking imagination.

Agreed the pictures on the website look very unprofessional for a SuperLeague rugby team.

What does it take 1/2 hours max to get a couple of players to model the stock outside on a field and then upload the photos onto the website.

I'm not quite sure who it is who's modelling the official Red Devils scarf but he doesn't look like a Rugby player to me I'm afraid.

They're not terrible, just seriously boring.

I'm amazed at how RL Clubs in this country can get it so wrong so often. One look at the majority of new playing shirts in SL should tell you all you need to know about how to do stuff on the cheap. One look down under at what the NRL offers, design wise, and they are streets ahead of us. There's such a lack of thought and innovation in designing merchandise over here.

Surely some of the red tops that the players have should be on sale? Quite smart, don't normally bother with merch but fancied a top or a hoody and at them ridiculous prices I won't be bothering.

Quite agree, my son bought me a Roosters top for Christmas, as against Salford shirt. I'm really pleased with it.
Salford have over priced all their gear, I suppose if you are a millionaire £50 is chicken feed, but we are all in the real world of deprived Salford
I believe a few years ago Salford let Pendleton 6th form college design their tops and they were pretty good

Just to balance this out, some of the NRL gear is atrocious too and the way they (Australia in general) allows sponsors to ride roughshod over their own brand is a disgrace.

I think a lot will share your opinion, perhaps we dont need a club shop after all!

UA gear on the whole is pretty expensive, the quality if top notch though, I've got a few polo's for golf and they just look better than the images the club's provided.

You'd have though in today's age you could go onto the UA website and basically pick any item and them throw the clubs branding on it at an extra charge.

One things for sure the merch we've seen so far isn't going to bring much of that £1,000,000 windfall we read about.

We will sell quite a bit of merch I reckon, don't whether it will be enough to justify a shop however if they sell it along side general UA gear that'd make sense.

I think your polo shirts look quite good but thought they were a tad expensive. That was until I looked at the price for the spur's polo's.

£120 for a Spurs bodywarmer (or gillet if you're a ponce!)?! Feckin hell.... do they charge extra to cut the sleeves off?icon_smile.gif
