Don't know Conner McGrath , A Jones presumably is Adam Jones from the U19's ,

Only 4 of the 1st 17! . really keeping our powder dry.

Adam Jones part of the Welsh Hair Bear Bunch front row would be a giggle.

Good for the young players but as a fan going to the game tad disappointed we've not got more 1st teamers going!

Can i ask where do the following players play mcgrath, files, gee, bibbey, lannan and jones?

McGrath is a 3/4, surprised to see him. Files is a hooker, gee is a back rower, Bibby is a centre, Lannon is a back rower. Don't know Jones.
I might be wrong here but I think only gee is fulltime with first team, the rest are still 19's.

Gives us an idea of our strength in depth I surpose hopefully will gather experience

I thought we would of had a full 1st team out, if only to give them a run out against another team, ive no doubt they have been playing against each other to see how they are doing , but playing against another team is different,

Just maybe Harris is keeping his powder dry and not letting anyone know how ready or not we are for the first match.

I dont mind getting wet watching the 1st team play, but when only 4 are playing that is different and not sure if going or not, but i am missing my fix of rugby league, and watching repeats of the NRL on Premier sports is not fixing it, so it looks like i mite be getting wet tomorrow.

Don't worry about our future players getting 1st team experience, this will be the norm for our other friendlies. Everything is being geared up for our first game v Warrington

I think it's important for fringe players to stake a case before the season starts. It sends the right messages to players, allows coaching staff to assess who's ready and who's not, and gives us all an idea about quality of depth. We also don't want to risk injury to key players, especially those with little cover in that area, before the season starts.

All the lads are from our U-19's (Salford never bring players through!!) Gee and Jones are 2nd rowers, Files hooker, Lannon Loose forward, Bibby Centre McGrath is a winger I'm told by the management.

Great to see.

It'll be interesting how we line up tomorrow looking through the selected squad, who plays full back, orinarilly it'd be Evalds but we havent selected a stand off so I'd think he'd play there, no half back for the bench either, does Hock start at loose with him being moved there for this season of do you leave Jordan Walne at loose and play Hock in the second row? Wingers? McGrath, Ford or Caton-Brown maybe but MCB may have to play full back? All very confusing.

Looking at the players Dewsbury have in there squad, plenty of Super League experience in Karl Pryce, Matty Wildie, Rob Spicer, Anthony Thackeray, Shane Grady and of course Wagga (and two other ex-Reds in Toby Adamson & Stephen Nash) I think this could be a lot, lot tougher than we thought!!!

These kids deserve there chance and have been training extremely hard with and against the first team.
They will be getting some first team footy and this will only help there development. We keep harping on about our kids and the club lagging behind everybody else
so lets give them the chance to show what they can do without whinging about the lack of first team players in the team.
I think its a massive step forward as a club to have these youngsters in the first team. And also the fact that martin Gleeson has been working extremely hard with all of these
lads and can obviously see great potential as must Harris. Well done the club.
