| On the official website, u should all get on and let your feelings and suggestions known. Just done mine. Really good idea by the club!

| Good idea, I would be interested to know what will come for this if the majority decide (which I assume they will) that the stadium simply isn’t accessible? I can’t see Salford Council allowing us to build our own, particularly after the bailouts that have come our way to protect their financial interest.

| "Once all the roads and everything else is in place, the stadium will be fine."
I feel that the "everything else" needs clarification. The road will allow car users to access the stadium.
The public transport links, especially on a Sunday, are poor. Much depends on the 67 bus and that route already attracts custom without the added numbers of fans on a match day.
The tram is superb but stops a good distance from the ground: a nice walk on a hot Sunday afternoon but a pain in the rain.
I have publicly, and repeatedly, stated the stadium is not accessible enough for those using public transport. Nothing has altered that stance.

It’s only a good idea if they take on board the opinions of the fans

| With due respect to the club, it is not them we should be getting on the back of,
It is the SMC , Peel Holdings, and Stagecoach, they own the ground, the land and roads around the stadium, and supply the public transport in the area.
All the club can do is ask what is going on with the said above and ask for answers, which i am sure they are doing and like us fed up with asking the questions,
If u want a better bus service on match days get onto Stagecoach, local council local MP who ever that may be, .
I dont live in the area so dont have any say in local transport etc, I have to just drive there find somewhere to park that is best for me to get home afterwards,
I have tried everywhere to park believe me, it is getting better at the ground but progress is slow.
Maybe better this season but im not expecting it.

| I've posted my lengthy views on the survey on another thread. I think that surveying the fans is a good idea and should be done as standard at regular intervals. Unfortunately this survey is badly designed and poorly implemented and will give them virtually nothing of any use to improve things for fans

It will tell them that access isn't great, but that's not the Clubs fault.
It'll tell them the food and drink are dearer than OT or the Etihad, but that's not the Clubs fault either.
The ground and the pies ain't gonna change !
It's blindingly obvious that the population of Salford has always been lukewarm on the Reds and what brings them out is a winning team.
In fairness, the Club is doing everything it can to achieve that.
A winning team will be the catalyst

Agreed you can have the best pies and the cheapest beer in the world but a winning team will bring back the fans and that’s the one thing the club does have total control of!

It is the easiest way, no doubt. However, Warrington were able to increase their attendances in the early 2000s, and Wakefield more recently, despite having mediocre sides

The problem for many Salford and Sale fans has been access at times over the last few seasons it’s been a nightmare getting to and from the stadium so when the road improvements are finally completed we shall see!

From my own personal point of view, I'd have to disagree with that.
I live in Warrington and don't drive, so public transport is my only means of getting to and from the ground.
I get a train from Warrington to Irlam then either the 67 or 100 bus (whichever comes first) from outside the Railway Inn.
All in all the entire journey takes around 30 minutes (that includes a near 10 minute walk from my house to the station).
I find Barton a lot more accessible then The Willows was.

| The stadium is in effect as accessible as you make it. I pick two or three friends up then get a cab from Worsley costs a cpl of nicker each.
I think when the new pub/restaurant opens people will feel inclined to get there earlier meaning a more staggered influx of people. One of the issues is the terrible beer/food served means people drink more off site then try and get there a few minutes before kick off.
Does anyone know when the A57 is re routed will there be a bus stop outside the stadium? Might ease the need to suppress the traffic leaving the car parks if people weren't forced too cross it to get to the current stops.

To offer a counter-view, at the Willows, after a Friday night game, I'd be home by half 11, 11:45. Now I'm getting home around 1 in the morning.
