| Ok so I guess we got what we expected this year, but I found it such a refreshing and optimistic season watching the young lads coming through. I have loved watching Theo, who has the balance and awareness to be a excellent SL player. Adam Walne has been a revelation since rejoining the club, a travesty we released him in the first place, and has stepped up massively to be a huge prospect of being a one of the top SL props in years to come. Evalds has looked a year behind these lads in development but looks really exciting! Jordan Walne has looked 10 times the player since his loan spell and will follow his brother. Will Hope will benefit from this year and hopefully go on loan to Oldham in the Championship next year to really push on. Jordan Davies intrigues me and I can see his contract being extended another 12 months on top of his existing and also being loaned out. John Ford and Adam Files have been immense for Oldham so hopefully we can loan them both out into a divsion above to help develop their progress. Having watched young George Tyson in the CC match and a few academy I was seriously impressed, and expect him to be loaned out next year as he looks as big a prospect as Theo did in the academy.
Sneyd is the lad I feel most sorry for, he has the Xfactor and seems as if he is being squeezed out a bit Hopefully Cas will find his correct position as I haven't got a clue what it is although he has always been a SH, if he kicks on then who knows the pressure maybe on Smith and we may be in a great position next year with 4 top quality half backs!

| Good post Stanley30. I think Adam Walne will play for England or GB.

| Followed your kids In the League Express reading the reports...they did really well and should form the backbone of a decent team if kept together, well done to them.

| At his best, Sneyd, to me, as an ex Wigan fan, is as good as Shaun Edwards. Sadly, he cannot produce it in every match. He can be brilliant one week and ordinary the next. I hope that his spell at Cas will boost his confidene and he can find that magic more consistently.
Look out for Alex Davidson as well. He only turned out twice this season but, at still only 20, he still has time to blossom as a top prop.

| This season was a good one for Theo, Sneyd and both Adam and Jordan Walne. I think they all proved they're more than capable of playing Super League rugby.
I can't see Sneyd having a future with us personally, which is a shame but its part and parcel of having a successful youth set up. You can't keep them all.
Theo and Adam at least will go on to make many appearances for Salford and will both represent their respective countries at some point.
Next season I'm hoping to see the emergence of Niall Evalds, George Tyson, Will Hope and Alex Davidson. With the age of our forwards, injuries are inevitable so the likes of Tyson and Davidson should get some game time. They'll only get better training alongside the likes of Mozza and Puletua too.

your only stumbling block to that may well be Brian Noble himself,he has a track record for prefering more mature players shall we say.
Personally I am of the opinion i'd sooner see the kids get that chance.

Interestingly , majority of the retained players from the 2013 squad will be the younger players.

George Tyson is being given a 2 year deal , and I believe will be playing with a Championship side next season , Alan Hunte has his application in for the Academy U19's next season, so I can foresee a fair few of the old U20's team being kept will be loaned out to other Championship / 1 sides.

Best kicking game I have seen at Salford Sneyd. Sadly not appreciated by large portions of our fan base. Could come back to haunt us st Cas next season.

It did seem strange when Gaskell was given more responsibility when it came to kicking.Perhaps it was to see if he could be used in the halves.

Yes,he does have a good kicking game and a really strong boot.
I just had a problem with the Shaun Edwards comparison

| What about the younger lads who'll be playing 19's next year.
How do they look, Any prospects?
What about forwards who can tackle thats always a good start!!! The hooker picked up the player of the year awards so i assume he must be good. The talk is they've played against older players this year and the forwards have fronted well, was this just the older lads ? I've seen a couple of games and liked the look of the little winger(cant remember his name). what does everyone else think?
