Would be a good signing, we could do with some experience in the back row. Dixon, Ashurst, Neal are all under 23. Pretty sure he can fill in at 6 aswell if need be. If Wilde retires at the end of the season he would be a good replacement.

Isn't he one of the Crusaders players who doesn't count towards a quota spot due to them folding? Might just be for the first team he signed for but if that's the case yes I'd take him though if he took a quota spot up possibly not.

To be honest, I really don't have much time for this guy. He looks the part: big and strong and has been average in fairly decent teams. His biggest drawback is that he gives far too many penalties away. You give penalties away at the top level in RL then you will be punished.

It's only my opinion.

Wasn't he brought into Cas as a weight-mate for Chase? they were bosom buddies as kids.

Brian Noble originally brought him to Crusaders in 2010, seen as we're looking for tenuous links .

Very astute observation MM: that is assuming Mr Noble is our new coach. You are in a much better position to judge than I am, so you are probably connecting this more accurately than me.

I'm not even sure how I would feel if BN is our new coach. You can't argue with his record, though I'm not sure how Sean Long would feel?

Interesting times to be a Reds supporter, for all the right reasons now. One thing is for sure: a lot of the "doom mongers" have been temporarily knocked of kilter. It's nice NOT to be on "Boots n All" for another crisis week in and week out.

Another quick observation is that the other teams that are struggling now see to get a more sympathetic spin from the media than we did.

Don`t know if this is the right thread but rumour has it the police targeting illegally parked cars at various places near the stadium this evening. Aparrently their dishing out tickets like theres no tomorrow.

Will soon find out if true when sales game finishes...
