| Just reading in the sun that we look set to sign an Oz duo in Manly Sea Eagles Liam Foran and Vic Mauro, as well as NZ Warriors Glen Fisiiahi. Just watched Fisiiahi on YouTube, looks quite good..
Thoughts ???????

Fish will score a bucketload if you grab him. He'll have flaws but imo that would be a fantastic signing!

| Just looked up their profiles on Manley and N.Z. Warriors web sites and IMO they all look like class players. Think they would all make great signings, all around 24/25 years old Prop,Half back, Fullback

| I watch a fair bit of NRL and Manly in particular. Mauro is decent and Foran (Kieran) is world class. However, this Foran must be his kid brother who I haven't seen.

| They would be 3 decent signings who would go along way to improving the competitiveness of the team
The Fish (Glen Fisiiahi) is a bit of a flying machine what you would describe as a real speedster. Two seasons ago he was unsuccesful in cementing a first team spot due to a combination of weaknesses in his game and injury. Since then he's lost out to Bill Tupou whose all round game is more reliable and Kevin Locke. He'd provide plenty of thrills and spills.
Liam Foran is the older brother of Keiran Foran. He is not as good as his younger brother who is a NZ international. He played for Manly's first team in 2012 when his brother was injured so he's no mug but does not have that bit extra that his brother has. That said we are only talking club level here so would be a good acquisition for us.
Mauro is a squad player who is around the fringes of the first team. With Manly having the likes of Watmough and Stewart holding down two of the back row spots and Tony Williams the other in recent seasons regular starting opportunities are limited but injuries and origin mean that he sees a fair bit of game time for one of the top NRL teams. Again would be good acquisition.

| My God Williams, Broughton and Fisiiahi as a back three is going to take some beating for pace. From what you read of him he's an attacking #1 rather than a brilliant last line of defense.
Forlan with Long as his coach would/will be one of the better halves in the competition though I do worry that a half back pairing of him at 24 and Sneyd at 21 is a little on the young side especially when you think that Theo as back up is only a teenager.
Mauro looks like a 60 minute a game player in the Gallen style who has to be a vast improvement on Feka, my hope for him is you don't notice him when he's playing but do when he's not as for me that is the sign of a good front rower.

| Great tribute for the Flying Fish. If it happens, we're gonna have some serious pace at the back.
Where did these rumours come from? Reliable or not?

| Mauro looks more like the solid reliable player that we need, rather than the flashier less reliable ones, like Sidlow and Feka. My only concern is he could be a little too similar to Jewitt and McPherson, that said, when fit they were probably our best two forwards last season, so that might not be such a bad thing. If Gledhill could regain some of the form he showed at the start of last season, then the pack doesn't look quite as bad as first thought.
Fisiiahi would offer a similar attacking threat to Pattern, when hitting the line at pace and supporting any breaks we might make. Considering he'll probably come a damn sight cheaper, this lad would appear represent much better business than Pattern. If he isn't the greatest defender then we're in no worse of a position than the last two seasons.

It'll be Dave Parkers Column in the Sun, so who knows?
The NZ connection of two of the names , would coincide with Lowe.
+ the positions - Fullback - Halfback & Prop are where we need cover. They seem good enough to vie for 1st team NRL but are not getting game time.
The prop 'Mauro looks like a grafter who seems more lauded for his defence , he also qualifies for Italy.
I guess we'll know one way or the other come ' 'D Day '

| In Saturdays MEN it states that the Koukash team tried to pull out all the stops to divert Gareth Hock from a proposed year long loan deal To Widnes, but Hock is expected to complete his move to Widnes on Monday.
Other Possible signings linked to Salford were Chris Tuson & Ex Cas Player Ryan McGoldrick.
It also mentions ' two un-named Australians that may be the ones referred to above.

| The Fish is an exciting talent but Liam Foran is (sorry to say) is awful, Vic Mauro is steady, nothing flash but hard working.
