| Scott Naylor is the head coach and Lee Spencer has gone there as well. Swinton Lions already have a link with St Helens, so it must be around using the ground?

I thought Swinton were working with Warrington.

Your a little out of date. Swinton have linked up with warrington and for this season will remain at LSV in terms of playing. As for training they use the same facilities as Warrington.
I'm not to sure what the benefit they refer to is going to be but I guess it will all come out in the wash.
This has been such a long drawn out saga that I am sure Salford's spectators want a line drawn under it as quickly as possible, so why they now have to wait till Tuesday is a strange one. Not much business will be done on Saturday and Sunday so you would think that any deal would be firmly in place by now.

That's assuming the MEN hasn't just thrown a dart at a calendar. Which is a pretty big assumption.

Who knows with the MEN. It has gone from a well respected paper to a rag.

Interesting move.'"
That is a wonderful piece of news, Oldham is still a hotbed of RL and we can only really gain from something like this. Does make you wonder on the logic though of forging these relationships but then causing a mass release of youngsters, surely to have kept the system that was in place last season and then selected random youngsters could go to feeder clubs to help them through injuries or to see if the kids are tough enough for fully fledged grown up rugby. Someone like Marriott would surely have been better kept on the books and loaned to Oldham for a season rather than letting him go.

I heard the other day that Mr Whittaker from the Peel Group returns home to the Isle of Man,every weekend.
I believe most business people make their profits,(ensure profitability) during working days.
The Peel Group seem to have been busy of late with public enquiries re incinerators and making progress with Port Salford and more profitable business may be the priority.
I take heart that a 'businessman',who buys sports clubs for a pound and sells for millions of pounds, recently apportioned blame onto lawyers for delay in a takeover which started in May and only concluded on a working day this week - rlLeeds Unitedrl

If you take heart from anything conducted by Bates, especially in the current Leeds saga, then you need your head checking. The man's full of bullsh*t and nothing is ever his fault.

I didn't express myself very well.
My contempt for Bates is such that if he got 'done' for spending more than 90 days in the country I would be very pleased.
My posting was to infer that sometimes people outside of the negotiations are the cause of the delay.

Not denying that. But Bates is far from the best example as he's well known for being an utter tw*t in his business dealings.
