| I like to watch the game from the side of the pitch rather than behind the sticks. So at the new stadium that means I need to buy a season ticket for a seat. But, if I do that and then I want to bring an occasional visitor along (eg MacStouffer who now lives in Edinburgh) that means we can't sit near one another - so two questions occur to me:
1: Why not have a season ticket for unallocated seating so that you just sit where you like in a block without particular reserved seats?
2: Does a season ticket for a particular seat also allow you to go elsewhere in the ground to stand or sit with your mates who have just come for a one-off particular game?
Anyone else with this kind of dilemma over what to do?

| Having spent 21 years of my life stood in The Shed I spent the second half on Sunday stood at the back of the terrace in the North Stand (due to my mate having got the beers in but not being allowed in The Shed with them ).
I hated it.
I'm gutted that the standing section at the new ground is behind the sticks but I don't want to sit and I know all the atmosphere will be created in The "New Shed" I know I'll end up on the terracing but I'm dreading the view.

| I seriously think that "boys who want atmosphere" should get together, have a meeting, and find out what is happening for the new season in the new stadium. Get in touch and lets organise.

Sounds like a plan better to be organised than not
Behind the goals is my choice as a veteran of both (northstandender many moons ago) you see much more than you do on the side
If we have an end at salford that would be epic imo the advantages out weigh the disadvantages imo.
As for the height I recon at its highest its probably half way up the current shed (where Gary b, red willow and fungus stand) not too bad imo
My only concern is banner hanging space, not much room at the bottom and if there is adverts at the top we are a bit knackered, still need a proper look round before I decide what I do with them

| I think that maybe a meeting at "the lounge" at barton airport might be place to start things off. Maybe find out out the "setup" of the ground. I dont live that far away from the new ground and am willing to find out the planning of the new stadium and who goes where. Keep in touch

| I`m in the same boat as Barton flyer , I`ve yet to decide where were going reside at Barton , couple of mates have reserved seats in the main stand which is definatley not an option for us. In discussions with my son, he did`nt like the idea of sitting in the smaller seated stand and wants behind the sticks which is something I`m definatley not to sure about.
The sooner we can get in the ground and have a look round the better.

28th of December salford foundation are having a charity walk from willows to new ground and a walk round, £50 min fundraising according to the stadium website sure the club will announce it nearer the time.
Sure as its history being made here raising £50 in 3 months though charity donations / own pocket can't be too hard,

| I won't be going behind the sticks. Can't think of anything worse than watching every single home game from that view (as well as pretty much every away game)
I'll be sat in the main stand which will probably disappointingly be completely devoid of atmosphere.

| We just need to invite the lot who were kicking the sh[size.[/sizeit out of the Willows to the first game at Barton - ask them not to rip the seats out of the East Stand, and hey presto, within half an hour we'll have a terrace down the side.

Thought you were not going again, Season tickets went on sale before the start of this season and a full price list was available then, but I thought you knew already ours were the dearest in Super League from your other posts. My ticket for behind the sticks (best view in the world) was £130 plus £50 membership fee.

We had the same situation when we moved. I always prefer being side on, stood up. Now if I want atmosphere I have to stand behind the sticks. It's a no win situation. You all need to get together and try to stay sat/stood near each other if you want atmosphere at the new stadium.

| Wouldn't the easiest thing for all shed dwellers who wish to remain side on request a block of seats within the main stand? I dread the thought of watching a home game from behind the stick, how ridiculous?

| Why dont we all buy tickets for the stand opp the main stand, and just stand up when the game is on (the new shed?).
Side view and standing (sit down at half time for the old ones).
Or is that too simple?

You can get away with it away from home but its a different story @ your own ground, you don't poo on your own doorstep.
You want to stand and watch salford you go behind the goal.
If you want to watch from the side you have to sit
I think its just a bit Cheeky that for years during designing of the stadium us fans made a point that standing was a must and when it gets delivered we contemplate standing in the sitting stand.
Most away games you have 200+ standing and the rest sitting at all seated stadiums so @ home games I recon you can double it and add the people who want to watch the game behind the goal 500-750 maybe capacity of the whole stand is 2k so it might be half full if we r lucky.
What I predict will happen is most will sit on the side because of habit, the persistent standers will go behind the goal and hopefully with the new fans who will come because the new stadium will go in-between.
