Very smart ground

Very similar style to ours/Wires/Leighs/Widnes' 4 stands plonked together, thought Saints was gonna be oval shaped...think it still is on the outside? No character anymore will make aways quite boring!

It's oval from above/outside and I reckon the filled in corners (even if it's just a wall in two of them) will add to the atmosphere (Saints need it). The 3-stands connected and one stand alone was what the first post-iconic version of our ground was gonna be like before word seemed to go back to the architects to make it cheaper.

Wonder if there's any chance we'll get any relevant lettering on the seats, or whether it will be kept generic to appeal to other tenants (and keep it cheap).

Am I right in thinking our ground was last year reported as being a £26m complex, with recent reports quoting a figure of £16m? Bad journalism or massive downscaling? Or have i misunderstood this completely, with £26m being the figure for phase 3 completion? Confused

The PR for our new stadium has been nothing short of shambolic. But then again, there was a fan consultation all the way back in 2000 with Dave Tarry and Adam Thomas, and a grand total of two people turned up, myself and my cousin as mere sixteen year olds. That was embarassing.

The club arnt building it so it ain't upto them really I surpose...

Well the new saints ground looks superb.i think leighs ground is too. 4 equal sides.ours looks pathetic with 1 big stand and 3 poxy stands which hold around 1000 each.bobbins design.Sorry folks but i just do not have any faith in john wilky and his bunch of croneys running our club. BETFRED please buy wilky out.

I like the design of the new stadium. Although it's not as nice as the original plans, it's still really good, and 20,000 would have been a bit big I think. Can think of many grounds which don't have four equal sides too, Old Trafford being one.
