Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book :Others/NA.JPG |

| I can't ever remember lacking interest in a game as much as I do in this fixture.
Strange after such a good home win, but it just feels like a massive non-event?

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try
we had 94urrrrrrrrrr:7891.jpg |

| I'll be there as usual, actually quite looking forward to it. To be honest I love all away days (Sadly not so much the games usually)

Whilst I'm sure it'll lead to even further disappointment than the game, results and performance that handicap looks very tempting?!?

| ST HELENS TO RELY ON YOUNG GUNS
[iRoyce Simmons will field a youthful St Helens side against Salford on Friday night as his injury-hit squad bids to clinch third spot in Super League XVI and a home opener in the play-offs.
With the likes of Tony Puletua, Chris Flannery and Ade Gardner on the injury list and Jon Wilkin serving a one-match ban, Simmons has promised Scott Hale, Matty Ashurst and Andrew Dixon more game time and has called Danny Jones and Carl Forster into his 19-man squad.
"These young blokes have been waiting for an opportunity and here it is for them," he said. "I have all the confidence in the world in them."
The Reds provided new coach Matt Parish with his first win, at the expense of Huddersfield, a fortnight ago and Simmons expects them to provide tough opposition.
"Salford have played with plenty of enthusiasm since Matt Parish came in and put his foot down with some of the players. The players have responded by bringing a fair bit of energy to the football field.
"If you look at their side on paper, it is a good side with some strike power. Although they now can't make the eight, they are doing the basics really well. They have also got nothing to lose."[/i

| Fancy a punt on Salford today, can see an upset on the cards for some strange reason.

surely if Saints finish 3rd they'll be AWAY in the 2nd week of the play-offs?

| I can’t make the game tonight however I think we will put up a good fight against a young Saints side and I personally will be having a few quid on the result going our way. If we can play how we did against Shudds then a win is certainly possible.
I enjoyed Mr Clarke's comments with regards to our game tonight on Boots 'n' all. He shares the same beliefs as me.
Come on the Reds. Let’s finish the season with a bang.

If it's like all the recent times we've played there, you can pay on the night but need to go to a ticket office to pay rather than the turnstile.

| Well done Salford, well defended in what was the most disgraceful refereeing performance I have seen, I am not saying we were whiter than white but his eyes were pointing only one way, Cashmere sin binned for an high tackle, same one in the second half where he penalised a saints player, no sin bin, no consistency, I know our players lost a bit of discipline but who could blame them. With a fair referee tonight I believe we would have taken them close. Well done to the Salford team they played all the way to the end.
