Rob Parker off to Cas on loan according to Sporting Life,

How has he played for you guys this year? (I seem to think that he may not have played too much for you from reports!) Will he be useful or are you pleased to be rid?

Good move by Salford, He has hardly played for us, send him on loan, let someone else pay his wages. Unless we get huge injury list he won't get a look in.

and if he help cas into top 8, and we finish 9th, will it be a good move?

Come on, this is Rob Parker, the 15 stone bashed up old crocked prop forward we're talking about here. Not a loss in the slightest.

The simple truth is that we've moved on from Rob Parker and,in a way that's a shame but it's also progress.
If he makes the difference for Cas,I'd be surprised but I think we currently have better,which is why he's not having a sniff

Rob hasn't featured in our side since the rnd 4 fixture against Wigan , and 3 of those were off the bench.

He's out of contract at he end of the season so needs to put himself in the shop window, if he is to win a new contract. He's 30 which isn't that old for a forward .
With the New Coach's remit to develop the youth and with options a plenty in 2nd Row/Prop he obviously has to look elsewhere.

he's played 40 odd games for us, always an 'grafter' ,
didn't have the best of luck with us , suffered an fractured skull , been given the captains armband after the Jacksonville fiasco where he was given a hard time unfairly.

So I wish him well at Cas and hope it pays off

Isn't there a young kid at Cas we're after? could be used as a makeweight if that's still the case.

We've been linked with young Ryan Brierley who is a Salford fan but plays in Castleford's academy.

Both Brierley and Parker are from Westhoughton so hopefully Rob will be going over and telling Ryan how great things are at Salford and why he should be signing for us?!

Could fill a gap in the halves (as mentioned on another thread) and is also an excellent goal-kicker, which we're short of (as mentioned on another thread too).

Never seen him play, but by all accounts he's a cracking little player has been outstanding in the 9's as well according to the Cas fans.

He is a good 'un, although his younger brother looks like he'll be even better.

Would love to think that we're watching him but not holding my breath?!

Have heard a rumour to suggest one of the reasons Rob Parker has been offloaded and why Ray Cashmere is off home !!! Not good reading at all !!!
