| I am absolutely stunned after that performance.Where was the team that blew Bulls away??
Far too many mistakes again, and every one of them was punished severely.I thought we were still in the game up to 20 minutes, but once we went 12 nil down, the heads dropped and the flood gates opened.
Gutted to say the least!!!

| What happened ??????
That's easy we just played a superb Wire team with a pack much bigger and faster than ours. They bullied our lesser pack all over the field allowing their backs to break through gaps our tired players left all over the place.
You could argue or decision making was poor in attack, but their defence was steadfast.
Wire are a very good RL team.
We aren't.
It's that simple.

I must say once it got to about 15 minutes in I could sense we were going to be in for a long day. Their defence was superb and coped with Holdsworth and Patten's link up play really well. From then on there was no plan B. We weren't able to play that expansive game we saw against Bradford because a) Wire are so much better than them and b) our confidence was visibly decreasing with every passing minute and thus no one wanted to try something different.
Fair play to Wire, they had done their homework on us and once it got to 18/24 it was only ever going to be a battering.
Just hope we don't let this get to us too much, as if we do we're going to be in for more of the same against a wounded Huddersfield

| Thing is though, Riley said it in commentary, the frightening thing is; we didn't even play to our best today.

| I think we didn't get the rub of the green early on and after the one and only time we got other the try line it was ruled out for the rarest of things these days a forward pass, that was it, interestingly none of the 20,000 wire fans in the North stand spotted it, or the touch judges. Then it was all down hill nest there was the knock on call when Broughton was facing his own line and the third try was the result. The second half we were not at the races.

| The Wire fans did spot it, hence most of them shouting "forward". Even Ratchford was laughing, because he knew it was a mile forward.
Rub of the green, were you watching the same game? You were outclassed, simple as that. Take it and move on.

| Things may have been different had we got the disallowed try ( Was it forward? I never saw it so haven't a clue). Though I doubt we'd have won still.
For the first 15-20 wire worked hard in defence to nullify our attack. They got numbers in the tackle and drove our guys back. Their sliding defence when we were camped on their line was superb. They just did the basics against our unimaginative attacking play. As a result they pounced on some sloppy play and scored their early tries. From then on the heads went down and it was all Wire.

| The highs & lows of following Salford rugby club, life is like a roller coaster, beaten by a very good wire team today!
We expect too much off Cashmere, when he is off the field the damage is done! I would also like to see more game time with Wayne Godwin
There pack blew us away, gutted by the score line but text book rugby from Warrington, there forward laid the platform which allowed there backs to destroy us.
Finally, one word for those stupid football fans you have at Warrington, , if you want to go home don't sing about just go, do us all a favour?

Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book :Others/NA.JPG |

No decent RL fan minds getting beaten and admitting they were done by a better team, but it's a lot easier to by gracious in defeat when the opposition fans are humble in their victory.
The Wire were excellent today, as were the majority of their fans ..... unfortunately, several on here aren't representative and need to get a bit of class.

Fully agree, every word.
Second half was a canter (for both teams) as our heads went down and they sauntered through us.
Sure the heat couldn't have helped that to be fair.

I'm sure your right. I wouldn't like to be playing RL against that Wire team in the kind of weather they had to today.
