Simms was quoted only last month stating he would be taking charge of all team matters including selection whilst Mcrae was ill, this was whilst Veivers oversaw defence and alker general team coach. Alker then has a dispute with the club he loves and goes to the union and will not return - no agreement can be made. Meanwhile Simms seems to have step down and let Veivers take control of the team - pure coincidence or have they had a rumble?

Maybe simms put in to see what was going on????? as something wasnt right. All speculation & if legal representation involved now, malc & club should not be making any comments, likewise, anyone the above parties may be speaking to in confidence or whatever.

i think wilko or someone has relieved them of their duties - simms team affairs and alker coaching duties to stop them clashing....could be wrong but its too coincidental dont ya think? loving the pugilist sticks idea Alker would t*at him!!!

Why can't Vievers continue to the end of the season, then make a longer term decision.

heard a few reasons now to why alker left either way, i think mcrea and alker should not return to the club.

Alker was a great player for us but he could be doing more damage than good. as other people on here have said he should of left and maybe in a few years coaching else where he might return.

You've already said your mates with Malc so we can guess who your contacts are. Are you looking at this through Malc tinted glasses? There's always more than one side to every story.

no fungus, as stated i know a lot of players past and present, yeah i know alker, but he aint sayin nothing, and i mean nothing, not about the club anyway, but lots are, but if you want to wear your salford tinted glasses then thats fine, but i will be on here saying told you so in time

I read a few weeks ago that alker was coaching attack...and vievers defence..

I found this odd considering Malc wasnt a great attacker in his time at the club and thought he'd be much better coaching defence and tackling techniques.

Anyway, my point, Brian Carney said on super league show tonight that 'salfords attack had a much better shape than in recent weeks'. Does that mean ALker maybe wasnt effective in hhis duties?

I like MAlc, but I cant see how he can come back to the club after all this. TO me, if he loved our club, he'd leave so the 'cclub can draw a line under it and move on. Can you imagine how disrucptive it would be if he returned after submitting a formal grievance?

Alker has to go.
That's the strong feeling on this forum.
Whatever his legal position regarding a grievance,you just don't do that in professional sport and carry on with the same club.
Not really interested in who is right or wrong.
The Club always comes first. He was only number 3 in the coaching set up so it is in Clubs best interest that he moves on.
