According to the M.E.N today a section of Reds fans are considering a mini protest on Friday to demand Alker's immediate reinstatement. Not heard anything? Is this just the M.E.N stirring it up. I'm up for a protest for the immediate release of Alker from his contract.

I foking hope not, this is the last thing we need, the Shed was brilliant on Saturday, united as it should be, we don't need sections of the crowd getting at each other. Lets stay focus on what's happening ON the pitch and get right behind the boys from the off and let whatever happens off the pitch take its course!

I'd guess somebodys self-importance is very mis-placed on this one!? The Shed will be supporting Salford City Reds NOT Malcolm Alker. Any protest (which I very much doubt there will be) Will be shouted out by me!

If there is a protest those involved will be getting plenty of verbals from me on what i think of them, no one is bigger than the club!!! Friday should be about supporting Salford RLFC as should every game we attend.

I would imagine the same misguided people who campaigned for his reinstatement as Captain.

I think Barker wrote the story to see what reaction he would get on here. There will be no protest on Friday. Will be a cracking atmosphere. Lets get behind the lads and you never know we could beat wire. Alker great servant to our club but should never have been appointed as a coach. Bring on the wire.
