Can't say too much, because I was unable to go today. However, I'm really disappointed to see that we conceded 50 points again. Also sad to hear about the Malc Alker situation. Whether there's more to it than meets the eye or not, it can't possibly be helping our performances.

COME ON YOU REDS!

I heard plenty of people saying today at Castleford they have had enough and that is from our diehard support.
Only Matty Smith came out of today with any credit
Two coaches off sick.
Father Ted saying it is a internal matter regarding Alker and will be dealt with.
The team is rudderless and sinking fast.
What the fook is going on.

Poor , all 17 anonymous , the flurry of trys at the end of the first half killed the game off ! The coaching situation is ludicrous now and needs addressing ! What a talent Rangi Chase is the guy tore us apart and he must feel invincible right now ! Poor, disappointed. I could go on for another 1000 words but won't .

Just got back from enduring that pathetic attempt of watching some blokes in red pretend to be rugby players. All 17 were dog poo some messier than others.

Someone come on and tell me they played well and of co all in the red garden is rosy .. icon_surprised.gifops:

Both Cas and Hudds are examples of what can be done with steady progress over the years - what is at about Salford that we are able to drag players down to our level? Is it the shirt?
Cas were great today, loads of confidence and the result was never in doubt. We were all over the place.
People want Ratchford to sign a contract - if i was him I wouldn't, there's something about this club, and it isn't good.

330 consecutive Salford City FC games - 30/11/08 to 10/05/14[/size:31338f0v][/color:31338f0v]:

I wasn't going to go to this afternoon's game as I was already expecting a heavy defeat. My son nethertheless decided to 'treat me' for my birthday yesterday and offered to cover admission, petrol and beer expenses. At the risk of sounding ungratefull, but based on today's performance, I don't know if I've got the will to live till my next birthday for fear of a repeat present! icon_biggrin.gifOH:

Holts Sweet Holts Never Drink on an Empty Head BIGPEV THE ONLY MAN TO GET A REAL INJURY AT THE STOOP:icons39ad_files/4795-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg

We try and buy a team, how many of Cas have come through the cas system, they are one year in front of us with regards super league but their set up is lights ahead. We are a very poor example of year on year improvement, we just amble at the same level, who ever comes here accepts that and so the decline continues. We sign cast offs from wigan, at least one has had the guts to stop taking the money, the other should be given the mascots outfit but then again we wouldn't get 30 mins out of them. The coaching set up under McRae has been a joke, i did say that appointing him was a backward step, after saints he had nothing left to give unless he had a full team of australians. We have the wrong captain who now appears to be half the player that had a one year contract and trying to earn a living and get a long term one. Too many players are in the comfort zone and the pay cheque comes in every week regardless. Simms said on the radio the usual stuff about studying cas and putting a plan in to stop them playing, then we stick a massive opening in the middle of the park for them to exploit with a man with 9 vowels in his name. Their half backs after 35 mins got the run of the park. John Wilkinson is suffering with poor advisors around him, he has to be tough and now for the good of Salford get rid of the waste and get someone in who can sort the mess out not feed the mess with out of date methods. We had two good weeks which looking at results since could suggest we actually got two teams having an off day in that period, because since then we could not beat the worst team in SuperLeague and then today we have just been slaughtered by a team a year older than us, who exploited the conditions bright sunshine whilst we kicked off 10 times to the same spot not once in the second half did we put a kick off in that went high and to the right meaning that the player would have to take it out of the sun. Considering we are supposed to be building we have the wrong construction crew in place from the project manager down, if I was awarding licenses this year I would not be looking at giving one to Salford, we are in exactly the same place as we were when we came in, and there is no evidence that this will improve, we are a good championship side, never Super league and I canm not see us ever changing this, Salford is not a rugby area when you look at the other teams in super league and the number of amatuer clubs within their boundaries and the number of people playing rugby.

I went today & I am bitterly disappointed by our failure to change. I agree Rangi Chase was outstanding but today we were beaten all over the park. Our half backs are one dimensional our move to bring Pattern into the line has been rumbled, any good coach will have played on our weakness all week, guess what, they did, out wide, high balls "to easy".
Must say we miss Gleeson in the Centre, why did we take Godwin off, Adamson is going backwards, Ratchford is wasted in the Centre, not involved enough, Palea'aesina don't bother, even the Cas fans were laughing at him. One positive I thought was Adam Neal once again worked hard & made progress with ball in hand.

Come on Salford you owe to us fans, sort out the coaching issues, we cannot be left in limbo, first SM now problems with Alker, nowhere else would this continue???

arundel, holmes, huby, clarke, orr, owen on the field today came through the cas system while ferres was a product of the local juniors.

i dont know enough of the salford area to say that theirs no talent coming through, their may well be some very good junior clubs about in the salfoed area and this is where cas have benefited in the last couple of seasons,we have invested heavily in making sure the very best juniors have come to cas and they are then given the best possible coaching and education to take it to the next level, this is an area we can be better than the rest and its bearing fruit we will never be able to match the likes of leeds in terms of money so this is the best way of competing for small clubs like ourselves.this weekend alon our u18 scored 56 points the u20s 72 and the first team 52 which shows the strength in depth we have coming through the system.

Sir John, needs to drag everyone in and tell them in uncertain terms what he expects from everyone at the club. The last season at the Willows is turning into a big joke!

Let's take a step back:

two/three new signings not doing as expected

a full-back who has yet to acclimatise to the British game

the disruption of two of the three coaches diappearing from the scene

genuine hype and pre-season hopes not yet realised

We've been here before in gloom: Wigan away, Bradford away, Hull away, the semi v Sheffield, two relegations ... this supporter is as agrieved as the rest of the supporters but isn't giving up yet.

But maybe this is another reason for me not to go to Barton.
