| Did any1 else hear Brian noble on gmr? He said he really wants to get back into coaching. Had offers from union but wants to stay in league. He wants to join a club with big ambitions and who are under achieving. (Salford by any chance)

| I am very close friends with a current Wigan player (not naming any names) and when Noble was in charge, I asked him what he thought of Noble as a coach, and he replied "hes a W**ker and the players dont have any respect for him".
So therefore IMO he would be no different to SM. (maybe a better tactical coach) We need a coach that the players respect and want to work under, somebody with a great motivational attitude and wants to take the club in a forward direction.

| If this did happen (and think the vast majority of us have our fingers crossed) can you imagine the atmosphere the first time they are on SKY at the same time as pundits?. I'd go for Noble in a fight but if SM managed to knock him down can you imagine the damage could do with a Big Daddy splash (ask your Grandad kids or if you havn't got one I'm sure Butchers Dad will be only to happy ).
I can't see it happening but for me it would be a dream ticket as like others have said think Noble could turn what we already have into a serious threat to most teams in SL and think the younger players would come on leaps and bounds and especially Ratchford and Adamson who for me with him in charge could both push for at the very least England squad places.
Does anyone know if Noble and Simm's get along? seem to remember the odd rumour that Noble and Millward hated each others guts so with Simms being Millward's best mate that could throw a spanner in the works.

| Much as I'd like to see Macrae go, I don't think Noble would be the answer. I'd like to see someone younger with fresher ideas. If we really are ambitious we should be looking beyond the likes of Noble.

The one time in my life I hope Salford lose then.

For me the dream solution would be Noble till the end of the season, then bring in the bigger name young Aussie (an Adrian Lam type figure) and then see Noble take over Simms role as I do think he would be brilliant and help set up structures and programs the club desperately needs. Pretty sure than Simms would walk into a job with Leigh if we did let him go (for me though Simms hasn't done much wrong, he gets the best players he can and then it's the coach who ruins then unfortunately for us).

No, no, no, no, no, no, no. NO!
Even if McRae's position is dependent upon tonight's result, which I really doubt and I fear there's a little bit of juvenile rumour mungering involved in the suggestion, nothing but a win should be sought after by all concerned.
