| From Mr Alibert on Friday
he Missed two forward passes that led to tries
a dropped ball over the line that was awarded a try
A MASSIVE obstruction that led to a try
Oh for good measure he ruled out our "try" on the say so of an official behind the play.
and penalised us for nothing penalties which the opposition were seemingly getting away with.
So yes he did very well for us

| **CAUSE FOR CONCERN**
WIGAN TACTICS BLASTED AGAIN
[i
Seasoned Wakefield coach John Kear has become the latest Engage Super League figure to express concerns at Wigan's defensive tactics after the Easter Monday meeting between the two.
Wigan crushed the Wildcats 54-14 at the DW Stadium to secure their ninth win from 10 games this season under their impressive new coach Michael Maguire.
The 36-year-old served his coaching apprenticeship under Melbourne's Craig Bellamy, regarded by many as the best in the world, but some believe that Maguire has picked up more than the habit of winning matches from his former boss.
While Melbourne are recognised as the best side on the planet, their tactics, particularly their ability to wrestle their opponents in the ruck, slowing the game down, are not universally popular, and it seems that the discontent is starting to spread to these shores.
"They choked the life out of us and completely controlled the first half so good on them," said Kear, who had joked prior to the game that he was a fan of professional wrestling brand WWE.
"But, if I want to watch four or five men in a ruck or a maul, I'd rather go to Twickenham. The game is cyclical and we're seeing what the Australian game went through two or three years ago. They went to two referees to sort out the rucks and as a game we need to look at our philosophy.
"It (the atmosphere) was like a cathedral.
"All credit to Wigan because they did control it, but I thought it was like watching paint dry."
As one of the country's most experienced and respected coaches, Kear's words may hold some sway with the Rugby Football League, although they have previously looked into comments made by one of the competition's youngest bosses, Richard Agar, after he also voiced concerns over Wigan's tactics.
"The wrestle is obviously a factor," said Agar, after his Hull side were slayed by Wigan last month.
"We had a couple of referees around at the start of the year looking at how we were going to manage it all and it was certainly a lot quicker than we're seeing.
"Wigan are very good at it but, if this is the way we want our game to go, we might have to be looking to follow the NRL and get two referees in because it's difficult.
"You are finding the home fans booing the away team on anything that's a second over - and it's the same at our place. It seems to be becoming a focus for everybody, fans included.
"We've just got to be careful that we don't drive the fans away I reckon."
Few within the walls of the DW Stadium are unlikely to be bothered by the mounting criticism though, as Wigan's stunning start to the new season shows no signs of slowing down.
Expectancy levels raised when Maguire was appointed at the end of last season, and it appears that the former Canberra back could be the man to deliver the Warriors a first Super League title since 1998.
Friday's win at the home of bitter rivals St Helens only served to underline their credentials and, if Maguire can replicate the success he achieved at Melbourne, reaching four Grand Finals in a row, then his fellow coaches can expect to be left scratching their heads at how to stop his sides for some time to come.

We basically dominate in the tackle thats it. However for John Kear to say that we will drive people away beggars belief, three out of the top try scorers in superleague are all from wigan and are all wingers!!
Yeah we tackle good but we are also playing exciting attacking football aswell

| I was looking forward to this match after the way we played against Huddersfield, good passing rugby and strong defence, but I'm considering not going now that we've been given the french idiot as referee. To say he didn't have a bad game at Wire suggests you didn't go to the match. He is an incompetent, cluless joke and I'm in no doubt what so ever that if he was English, he'd be nowhere near a superleague fixture.

3596.jpg this will not be the end, or even the beginning of the end.
It is merely the end of the beginning

Not watched the superleague show as I don't need to to know how Wigan RL have got away with stuff over the years , you've taken the game to the edge and over of fairness for 30 years so why would you stop now?
Holding down, crossing, players running into the line of defence constantly, forward passes that are now construed as momentum, buying players out of the game or buying players you cant afford that have kept you in SL. Thats only the tip of the iceberg.
Irrespective of cheating the salary cap other clubs now copy what you do...............you should be ashamed you cheating ba$tards!
Anyway Greg beat you at your own game and I can live with that day forever, all your other acheivements are hollow victories!
Win the GF if you must but I'd put my salary on it that someone in Pieland is pulling the strings at Red hall as usual!
Wigan nearly killed rugby league in the 80's and as much as it hurts to say - "Thank god for sky tv" but thank a higher being for SALFORD RLFC putting an end to it! The games a much better spectacle without Wigan dominating/ruining it, lets hope that never happens again and one day lets hope all other RL clubs are given as much a level playing field!

| I think you're being a tad harsh on Wigan. Yes they cheated (don't give me any of that [ic[/irap about spirit of the cap) and probably should have been relegated but they seem to be going the right way about things now. If you look at their team, they've not really got a huge amount of superstars and they seem to be finally finding a mix of youth and quality.
They're hardly doing anything different with their tactics than Leeds have been doing over the last few years and that Huddersfield did last year. Granted their fans can get a bit annoying with their constant harping back to past glories as a reason as to why they should be topping the table or thereabouts regardless of how average they were.
Alibert is pretty useless but he seems like a bit of a homer and often swayed by the crowd. If we make enough noise on Sunday we might see a few more decisions go our way.
Looking forward to it though, hopefully we get in a few more fans after recent results and with it being a Sunday. Just hope it doesn't go the way of the last time we played them when arriving into the game in fairly good form. The CC game last season was a bit of a let down really.
