after fridays game as i was walking back to my car in the clubs car park i bumped into richard myler getting into his car i asked him as im sure many have when they have seen myler..
"why have you not signed the contact we have offered u"
and i was shocked to here

myler "because it's not what i wanted"
"not what u wanted it was the biggest contact in salfords history that we offered you"
myler "it wasn't!!! the club said that to the media so i would sign it, i now what the players like malcom are on at the club and weren't near what i wanted!!
" are you being serious"
myler "i swear on my mothers life"
"so are you going to warrington then"
myler "they have offered me a good contract"

i wished myler good luck and all the best
even tho life without myler at the minute is all good and look like we will cope also we will b getting a big lump some for myler but i would of loved the club to have built a team round ratchford and myler which I'm sure would of brought exciting times to the willows!!!

You should have asked him if he would stay if we offered more. I like the lad and Itink he would have won us the game friday if hhe would have played. At least he was honest and straight up and probably feels like hes been on by the club a bit because he has been made out to be the bad guy along with offiah in this. I would gladly pay an extra £50 on my season ticket next year to see the likes of Myler play at the Willows. Jordan Turner on the other hand who I feel has got away with all of the player bashing in this should be gettin more stick than Myler. He has actually come through our youth setup so owes us a lot morethan Myler does and tbh he isnt half the player he is made out to be. If he was a footballer he would be Franny Jeffers

You cant of seen him play in the reserve game otherwise you would be glad he didnt play.Myler and Turner were the worst two players on the pitch quicker they go the better

Can somebody explain how getting £200,000 for Myler will benefit the playing squad? Not many players command a transfer fee these days and we'll still have to keep within the salary cap. Whilst I understand that the club will benefit from the money it's not as though we can spend the money on new signings like football or am i missing something?

If its true and the club lied about making myler the biggest ever contract what else are they lieing to the supporters about. I put money on them lieing about the stadium to. I am totally bemused at are club if his is what myler said to you is true. Its about time they told us what is going on at the club no wonder fans are getting fed up with supporting a club that does not seem to care for its players and fans. just seems to be about how much money they can get out of us. I am glad this is my last season ticket i am getting. I remember when this was a club that cared about a family unity with its supporter but it a totally lost it prowese with me. it hurts me really as i used to love this club. But the last three years now there only intrested in money not there up and coming youngsters.

Is it just me that thinks Myler was bound to say something like this if questioned by supporters? Of course he's going to tell you the club have short-changed him. Of course he's going to make out it's all the club's fault and not his. It has been heard on the grapevine that he's become very unpopular in the dressing room because this whole Warrington saga has made his head and ego grow to epic preportions.

Yes great post, why don't you use the money you save from not buying a season ticket and invest it in a literacy course.
If you got somebody to read the annual accounts you will hear how much money the club makes from us, less than it costs to run the club.

But that would mean looking at things sensibly and posting with an actual knowledge of the club, not just ranting and raving with a sense of self-importance. We can't be having that.

From what my lad saw of him on Friday he said should go now.

How can you be sure Myler was telling the truth he s been saying earlier in season he didnt know what he was doing & he knew all along he was going.
He has had his head filled with great things with Offiah touting him round to all the top S/L clubs looking for the highest bidder. What young lad at his age wouldnt take whats being offered, he probably thinks his lottery numbers have come up.
Said he knows what the likes of Malc etc are earning & they offered him less, excuse me, but havnt Malc etc given best part of their playing career to Salford NOT A SEASON & A BIT!! He needs to get over himself & learn a bit more of his trade before he acheives what Malc & other loyal players have done.
I dont only blame Offiah, think Tony Smith has more than put his two pennyworth in this saga, but as been said Myler & Turner were crap in the reserves on Friday night looked as though both couldnt be bothered, but got to earn their wages so just turned up in the shirt on the park.

I think he as said what this chap says he said i am sure he will befined by the club for a breech of disapline but we will have to see if he as said it first. That is why i said if it as been said instead of saying he as said it

i dont now if itz true or not, he may of just been saying this as he was not happy at being lefted out of the team on friday because he did look pi@@ed off (dont now why tho cos he was getting in a bmw 635d 09 plate worth abowt 50,000 proply his signing on fee from warrington ) but all i can is he did sound pretty sure where his mind was set... i also assume all this will come out once he moves to warrington..

Myler has gone, and it is a done deal, will be announced within the next few weeks, the club have got more than i even thought they would get for him. Suppose its a good thing if he thinks that the grass is greener and all that, let him go, he is not salfords problem anymore.
As someone has already said he says he knows what malc earns , well ritchie when you put the service in that malc has then you can argue for more money, would rather we spend the cap on hard working players like malc than some kid who will probably turn out like another kevin penny, but if clubs wanna spend money like they are, and take the risks then let them.
