History will be made on Tuesday 24th March 2009 when the Willows hosts the inaugural Royal Navy ‘2 Cities Challenge’ Varsity Match, as Salford and Manchester Universities clash in a battle of both brains and brawn! This match will showcase the best local student rugby league talent as the two centres of academic excellence do battle on the pitch in the first of what will become an annual event. Honours are even in terms of victories in the league between the two sides, leaving all to play for on the big night and bragging rights will be claimed by the end of the match.

Tickets can be pre-purchased from the club shop for £3, with admission on the night available through the Variety Centre, where the bar will be open from 6 30pm onwards.

Make sure you are there to be a part of it!
