Few rumours going round that he is Salford bound. Not a signing I'd immediately of gone for as the spine of the team needs improving vastly. If this is true, maybe it confirm Jodie see's his future elsewhere? Will be a shame to see Broughton leave as he has put up with the crap we have gone through but maybe he feel the time is right to move on. Either way hopefully we will confirmation sooner rather than later as we don't want the carry on we had with Ratchford, will he won't he.

Tom Briscoe was going to sign for NRL club Cronulla until the proverbial hit the fan a couple of months ago.

Speculation on the FC forum/local press suggests Wigan/Salford or French rugby union club.

He may prefer the coaching methods of Andy Hay,of course.

Would be an outstanding signing though. I love Broughton but Briscoe is more threatening in broken field which slightly sidesteps some of the problems of not having creative centres. Having both would be fantastic but knowing our luck Briscoe will end up at Wigan and Broughton at Saints.

You'd like to think that having Broughton, Gleeson and Briscoe is the starts of a really high quality back line, personally would love to see a centre who goes through rather than round to offer a slightly different option to Gleesons ball handling and footwork skills. See how the new lad from Sale progresses and we might have someone in that vein already on the books.

This is nothing but a rumour atm. There's no hard speculation from reliable sources, just here say. His name has basically been touted at nearly every top six side and us. The biggest rumour is that he is bound for a North West side and isn't Wigan or Saints. That doesn't mean it's automatically going to be us.

Would be a good sign of intention from the Club if they pull it off though.

Best English winger that SL has produced for a long time. Would be an outstanding signing for anyone never mind us. Would prefer props first but if he's available and willing to come then get him in. And not at the expense of Broughton thanks.

I don't think Broughton has played very well so far this season. Partly due to lack of service but he looks a little weak when returning a kick or scooting from dummy half.
I think Briscoe has got a but more about him physically. Ideally I'd have them both but if it was one in one out I think we would be getting the better end if the deal.

Wonder if it's a swap plus cash adjustment ( Mc Rea is at Hull ) possibly Broughton wants to back to Yorkshire ?
