one thing i have learnt in my 20 plus years of being a reds fan is once at the club you learn how to look after yourself once on the field. Im sure the likes of Cashmere , Feka and Jewitt will be more of a handfull for him should he refer to his "below the belt" tactics icon_wink.gif

Trust me, Willie Mason is not to be feared. Ever since he left the Bulldogs 3-4 years ago, he's been dire. I saw hime play for the Roosters a couple of times and couldn't believe what I was watching. Yeah sure, his first game or two he may rip in against players that are scared of his reputation, but trust me, it won't take long for players to suss him out as an all mouth no action prop!

I've not seen that much of him, but he's not appeared in the highlights I've watched and North Queensland finished bottom (apart for Melbourne) and they didn't want to keep him.

Agreed not to mention his change of scenery moving from Sydney to Queensland, he's been nothing more than a bit part player in a very poor NQC side this season. They were so bad even the Sharkies finished above them. icon_surprised.gifops:

Good assessment. The fact that he had to go to a Townsville in the first place says a lot. He's not exactly been quiet with regards to his feelings towards Queenslanders in the past. Talking to a guy from Queensland a few weeks back on holiday and he told me Mason is nothing like the player he was. He said he's OK at best for about 10 minutes!

There was a funny moment at the recent match between North Queensland and Canberra. A couple of Canberra fans held up a banner that read, "Who needs a big Willie when you have a great Tongue" (Alan Tongue - Canberra hooker)
