Not his defensive work but some of his offensive play has slowed
I have said before he could move to second row and still be involved defensively and possibly then not spelled with another player for #9

I agree with TC, what we lack is quick quality ball around the ruck, it needs to be quicker and zippier than we have grown accustom to it gives the likes of Rachford and Smith that extra few seconds to make the right deciton.
It has been a fantastic effort by Alker,Swain and Adamson in defence this season and i think their efforts in the pack is one of the main reason we have competed so well in so many games.
But time,teams and players move on, id hope Alker is moved to a interchange second row so our intensity levels in defence dont drop when the subs are made (which is what usualy happens causing us to leak a try or so) ALKER in the 2nd row and would also add another pivot in the attacking line which helps in situations, leaving smith and Another hooker to rotate hooking duties.
Alker could also go back to hooker if injuries strike. |

Is it just me that wishes we were no where near this award ?
Although a huge effort by the lads it is an indicator of why we are in 13th.

Agreed. But on the plus side... it clearly shows the players willing to put it in for the shirt. |

Malc still one of the best hookers in the world, nothing fancy just hard graft- only his fellow players would really notice it.
Give me 13 Malc's and and I am sure we would have collected a few trophies over the years!

I'd like to see some of the people on the terraces make that many tackles, get to virtually every play the ball, take hits, dish out some hits. It'd be nice to see what 13 of us lot do with Adrian Morley charging at us. Would we really put the effort in? More importantly would we do it for 10 years, through thick and thin and never ask for anything much in return?
